Charged to much money

Quick and efficient. We would use him again for other outdoor projects. He was careful that he kept us informed and finished the job quickly despite having to work in cold rainy weather.

He is very professional and very nice. He was very talented.

I should have insisted on written contract. He charged $50 in advance for "supplies" consisting of one piece of window screening about 18 inches square. Then the balance, $150 more, for doing little or nothing. He ;put some screen fabric under two of our plastic drain hole covers, and one piece under the lid of the sump pump. Rest of the project consisted of wasting my time walking around in the rain and criticizing prior workmanship, and suggesting expensive upgrades I know were inappropriate. Yikes!

Lee did a good job on my appliance installation which included some necessary modifications. He was polite and knowledgable.

Lee Roots designed and installed a beautiful patio walk and ground cover and then proceeded to put in a new fence along the street side of my property. He is personable, knowledgeable and detailed. All my concerns were addressed and he offered suggestions where needed. He is a professional and interesting man. I would hire him again for a variety of projects needed around my home. His quotes were fair and complete.

I had a sprinkler line leak under my new patio extension and dug trenches for two weeks trying to find the leak to no avail. I called Lee to come out and take a look at it. He found the leak, ran new lines from the valves around the patio, found another issue and fixed that as well. He fixed everything and for a reasonable rate. He is very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I will be calling Lee for my next backyard project.

I have never hired sprinkler repair. This is my first time using Angie's List. I need to compare this handyman to another to truly know how to rate his service. Lee is a very likeable and dependable handyman. I think I might use him again. I would also like to compare his prices to another handyman.

I hired Lee to fix a broken sprinkler valve. Once this was completed, a few days later I tried to turn on my sprinklers to test them. The backyard drip system would not come on when I used the sprinkler control system. This backyard drip is on the set of sprinkler valves that Lee replaced. I called him back and he took a look and said it was another valve not the one he fixed. Interesting coincidence since I never had an issue with this system, now after his repair I have issues. So Lee said it's another $125 to fix it for you. I said no thanks. Turns out the fix was a $9 solenoid and about 5 minutes of work. He wanted to charge $125 for that? Very dishonest, I would not recommend him at all.
