Leonard's Chimney Sweeps

Mr.(consumer name withheld per their request) was to repair the chimney from a chimney fire. The inside had to be totally removed and a Stainless Steel liner put in. He claimed to of had an assistant that was on vacation so I assisted him for two full days removing the damaged material and inserting the liner, putting in the insulation etc. It was a very rainy February and the two days of my help were on a Monday & Tuesday. When we got down to the point in the chimney where the stove pipe came in, I was asked if we could stop here or else he would have to come back Saturday to finish..... I stupidly said sure. Little did I know that this had just created a problem. The good Steel; stove pipe was replaced by the cheap Tin stove pipe, PLUS I no longer have a cleanout trap! When we stopped where the stovepipe comes through, it had been sealed off and the remaining part of the chimney from this point on down was still full of the collapsed chimney which is about 4-5 feet!!!!! So, to do a chimney sweep and clean it put, you have to remove all the pipe work in the house from the stove. I no longer have a clean out door for the chimney dirt. He would not even give me a break in the price for helping him for two full days of help. Seems like the only way to be able to clean out the chimney dubris now would be to create a door from the outside which is about 5-6 feet above the ground. He/we did a fantastic job clearing the chimney but his inside work with the stove sucked. The new tin stove pipes were put inside each other vice being put outside of each other. When I first lit the stove, smoke was coming out every connection. I had to caulk each section so I could use the stove. It still looks like crap but I can use it. Is it safe/// I do not know because I no longer have a cleanout spot. This job should never have been offered to me to stop where we did. He should have came back on Saturday and finished the job correctly. Do not hire this man not a good business man.

Jeffery is a very nice man also gave me advise on other repairs that neecd to be done by a roofer. He is honest and showed up on time.

Jeff is an all-around good guy. He came in and did exactly what I requested. He was a little early but he didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. He did make me aware of a crack in my fireplace so I'll keep an eye on that. I would hire him again in a heartbeat!

Jeff was at my house 10 minutes ahead of appointment time. he installed a stainless steel chimney cap and was done in no time. very friendly . I wish every business was run like this.

Jeff did a fantastic job of clearing my fireplace flue of debris left by squirrels and swept the entire flue. No dust was in my house as he cleaned up everything. Very personable guy too.

The service was very professional, The tech. was very experienced. The Tech did not try to sell me add on's and parts like other chimney sweeps in the past and that is a plus in my book. I will hire him again.
