Review by Sara U. in Medway, MA
I hired them to install carpet in EIGHT ROOMS plus hallway and stairs as well as countertops in my kitchen and tile floors in my kitchen. They lied to me about being able to install by a certain date and didn't tell me there was an issue until after I signed and paid deposit. They made me switch to a different carpet in order to get installation done in time but then still couldn't install as promised. We were moving and rented our old house back from the new owners for two weeks so time was very important. I would never have hired them if they had been honest with me about their installation time frame. We wasted money renting our old house back and still ended up moving into our new house with all the old carpet. Installer showed up to do the countertops and barged into my house without knocking or introducing himself and started yelling about the furniture in his way (furniture that was in the way because their carpet installation wasn't done yet).... scared my kids, yelled at my painter who had done nothing wrong.... and because I yelled back at him, they called that night and cancelled my tile floor installation that was supposed to be the next day. The countertop seam is awful... the wrong color grey and it stands out VERY noticeably. Their carpet installer was very nice but he was supposed to show up with "multiple guys" but he came with just one guy who had never done this before and it was his first day training. The whole thing was just awful from the beginning. I would absolutely not recommend working with them. They refuse to apologize for any of it or admit that they did anything wrong. It turned our move into our new house into a nightmare instead of an exciting time.
Response by Leo's Floor Covering, Inc.: you were told when you came in with your deposit at the last minute that at that point we would move your furniture for free if your date wasn't available because the date you wanted at that time was already taken and you said it wasn't a big deal because you were coming from a house with two bedrooms into one with five so there wasn't that much furniture anyway.(my worker actually testified to this in court and you didn't dispute it) also you could have waited for your original selection but you choose to pick something else to speed the process up.. this was all settled in court and all the other stuff you're talking about is just a smoke screen because still to this date you have not paid your court ordered balance to us with interest and court fees. perhaps this is about not having the money to pay? we did a great job on your carpet and granite .we chose to return your tile deposit because every time we showed up to do the work your house was in a complete state of disarray as you were trying to oversee the job and should have gotten a general contractor who knew what he was doing. you claimed the cabinets were painted the week before we were there to install the granite yet the painter himself yelled at our crew when they put their tools down that he had just finished painting and the cabinets were still not fully dry and their shirts were sticking to the wet paint. i don't know what you expect us to apologize for ? i have to wonder if we did do your tile if we'd still be waiting to get paid for that too ?so now you're writing bad reviews 7 months after the job was done. makes me think this is in spite because you lost in court 2 weeks ago.
