Lewis Home Improvement did not complete the job as requested in the contract. I used PayPal and they paid him before the job was completed. He refused to complete the job after being paid in full and requested more money. I will have to hire someone else to complete the job. I do not recommend this person.

"the job was a hard one the lot was overgrown from years , the city was about to do the job for 10000.00 I spend two days in the rain and mud , I cut 39 trees and removed 8 loads of tires and car gas tanks and car parts , glass had three flat tire on the job , you could not see the lot for the trash , and cement of old house in trees . I did 3500.00 of work for 1500.00"

I was not impressed with final outcome. Considering how much I paid for the job I expected and better result and better customer service.

"this is a fence restore , fix the old falling down fence and save it for half the money of a new fence , this all this customer could pay . I work with her budget , I replace a lot of old boards and replace post and rails renail the whole fence , even coved the fence with Thomson water seal to keep it looking great ."

Mr. Lewis is wonderful! and his assistant is too. I had a very big job of old building materials and debris that I had nearly despaired of ever getting rid of. I live on a street that is part of the ongoing flood project which makes coming and going very difficult and yet, Mr. Lewis managed it all wonderfully and smoothly. He is an amazing person who has the ability to bring joy to others, and I recommend him and his company highly. Thank you Mr. Lewis!!!

Of note, I asked Mr. Lewis to give me a bid for a fence and also to fill in a pond. This review is for the pond. Mr. Lewis was friendly and professional, however his work on the pond was less than desirable. In his bid, he said he would be using his own tractor equipment which would allow him to do the job for a lower cost. Instead he rented equipment and then wanted us to pay for it. After a week of minimal progress and rented equipment not being used, we asked Mr. Lewis to stop work. Which he complied. Last note, at the same time the pond was supposed to be filled, we also had painters in the house working, one Mr. Lewis workers, went into the house (without permission) and removed the plastic sheeting in the bathroom, so that he could shave that morning. Very unprofessional.

"THIS JOB HAD A FEW PROBLEMS , I SET UP A PLAN TO FILL POND ONE WEEK BEFORE LABOR DAY THE SITE WAS WET AND MUDDY AND IT WAS A 50000.00 JOB BEING DONE FOR 20000.00 I FOUND FREE DIRT FOR THE CUSTOMER TO HELP FILL THE POND AND I WORK FOR A WEEK TO DRAIN 3 300 FT POND AND IN DUMP OVER 32 LOAD OF DIRT AND ADD 12 FT X 225 OF LAND TO POND FOR 5000.00 BUT THE CUSTOMER WANTED THE JOB FINISHED FAST BUT RAIN AND DIRT CAN NOT WORK WELL TOGETHER . EVEN AFTER ALL WORK WAS STOPPED , AND I LET THE CUSTOMER US MY PUMPS FOR THE TWO DAYS SUN AND LABOR DAY . IT HARD TO MAKE EVERYONE HAPPY BUT I DO MY BEST"

Mr. Lewis and his team did a great job. He spent almost an hour with me the day he bid the project explaining the project and I could tell he was interested in doing a qualify job. He was able to start right away. While the rains have been an issue and delayed completion, the work was completed timely and he went above and beyond my expectations in all work, including an add-on gate. I would want to hire Lewis Home Improvement again.

The guys were very nice and sweat but when they couldn't be at work due to weather or car issues I was never told or informed. The fence is shaky. If I were to give it a really hard push I feel I could push it down. So that means when a hurricane comes I will no longer have a fence. Some of the pieces on the fence look chizzeled out and puzzle pieces together instead of professionally cut. Not happy.

I hired Ron to finish a repair to my boat house roof that someone else had started and left unfinished. I chose Ron because of his personality and the fact he was a vet (I STRONGLY believe in supporting those who defend us). I should have gotten suspicious when I noticed that the he cut the tar paper to be just the size of the replaced plywood and not overlapping at all (after the tar paper was installed, you could see daylight thru the seams). A few days after he finished the job it rained... and water leaked thru the roof area he had repaired. After several emails and not showing up when he said he would, he finally came back to fix it. The next rain, it still leaked from the same place as before. I have sent him several more emails and several times he has said he'll be here to finally fix it. Well, he hasn't shown, and it still leaks. His last email said, "I will be there soon and rerepair your roof". Haven't seem him. Roof still leaks. I'm quite surprised by the lack of follow thru as he seemed like a nice, honorable person.never emailed. Takes 3-4 days to get a response, which is usually I'll be there {at some time} - then he doesn't show. Seems like a nice guy... very surprised he left me hanging like he did.

Extremely happy with the job done by Ron Lewis and his crew. Not only did they do a quality wood fence installation, but they spent two days just preparing my yard, trimming trees, removing an extremely overgrown confederate jasmine vine, and hauling all the trash away. They were so courteous, enthusiastic, and professional. Ron carefully considered all options when unforeseen complications arose, and never took any shortcuts. But he never tried to charge more than the original estimate, which was more than fair. I would highly recommend Ron for any job within his area of expertise. I wish I could rate this company with more stars than just five.
