Told them on the phone that I had a problem with a main panel which went to a standby generator (Generac) panel, and it sounded to me like the transfer switch was engaging but since the generator wasn't there anymore it caused a power outage to those outlets when this happened. he agreed to come out, diagnosed exactly what I'd described then recommended another electrician who does the standby generator work - and charged me the service fee anyway. Could;ve told me on the phone that he doesn't do that work, but chose not to.

Sorry you felt that way because when I left your home everything seemed like it was fine at least according to how you sound. as I recall you was grateful that I have called Mr Electric for you to see if someone could come out that day. so far as me working on generators I do certain jobs with the generators and when troubleshooting the part that needed to be repaired I did not feel comfortable with changing it out due to the lack of experience dealing with that part which I thought I explained to you. now if it would have been something like the wire going to the line side of the generator had to be replaced then I could have t"
