I should have done my research first. I understand there's a class action against this guy a bunch of people that he has taken money and never showed up. He lies and said he was in a car accident, or has a family emergency anything to get out of showing up. He then blocks you on social media and he blocked your phone number. He took money and insisted to be paid before the job was done which was my stupid mistake, but I never had anybody screw me over before. This guy has done it to several others.

We hired David Kays of Lilac Home Services to do some interior painting. Avoid doing business with him. David made a lot of promises to have all the painting done and in professional shape within a few days. Not only did he not show up when he said he would, he brought in people who clearly never painted and when they finally showed up, they had children with them. He used outdoor 5-gallon $40 dollar paint to do the walls which clearly will not do the job. He left the job unfinished, a total mess, and told me several times the job was done. He is refusing to return the $1500 deposit and will not return messages. The one message he returned said I would be paid back after 30 days. That has come and gone with no sign of our deposit being returned. Avoid by all means!
