Review by Jason J. in Menifee, CA
I hired Tim some work on the bottom floor of my residence(New tile, baseboards, paint, fireplace remodel). his crew started in a timely matter. Once most of the work was done, I checked and noticed multiple discrepancies in his employees work. His paint and drywall guy was unable to do orange peel and left streaks on my walls in multiple locations. In some places it looks worse then before. He also left uneven lines on my ceiling. Then he sent his tile guy to do about 940 sqft of tile. His tile guy was very elderly so he was a little slow but i didn't mind as long as he did a good job. When he finished i noticed he had grout all over the top of my tile. I also noticed the tiles were uneven(Some raised higher than other). He also tiled the closet going the opposite direction. The grout lines were also uneven everywhere. His last crew that Tim sent placed the new baseboards on. They placed the baseboards on then painted them. since they painted them while already on the wall, they dropped white paint all over my tile. I also noticed in multiple areas, the baseboards were lifted off the ground. In some places so much that i was able to stick my finger under them. I called Tim and told him his guys needed to fix all of this. He sent his tile guy again who removed some of the grout off the tile and filled in some tile gaps but that was it. They repainted the walls where there were streaks put never fixed the orange peal. then they said they couldn't fix the baseboards because the tiles were uneven(they placed the tiles uneven). After a while i gave up and told them to leave. In the end i still have uneven tiles ($4000 worth) streaks on my walls from the poor orange peel streaks, and baseboards that his employees placed white caulking under to make it look like there no gap. Worst contracting job i have even seen. I paid Tim over $17,000 for this job and will need to spend a lot more to fix Tim Linden's mistakes. Hope this helps others with their decision making on contractors.
Response by Linden Construction: we came back to fix a few minor items which is common in construction. I have been with home advisor for years and have done hundreds of jobs. with a couple of bad reviews but mostly 4 stars and above. I honestly did not have any problem with Jason and stayed with his schedule for kids school. I should post the before and after pictures to show the complete difference. Jason had never said one negative item to me until I saw this post. linden construction

I live in a mobile home and wanted to turn the hall bath into and easy accessible shower bathroom for my aging husband. Wanted a ground level big shower. What I got was a new tile ground level walk in shower , a custom cabinet and granite counter top - 2 different shower heads in the shower for ease and a beautiful tile floor that really makes my new bathroom. Tim returned my call and came out and said no problem could do what I wanted. He gave me a fair price and told me to look and buy what I wanted as far as tile - flooring - shower faucets and sink faucets. Gave me some good websites to check out and away I went. I highly recommend the customer doing the buying for what they want as he gave me a budget and I got higher quality stuff for cheaper and to my taste. After some delays in getting the tile he showed up when he said and did the job in the time frame he said. He put his son Mitch who did all of the work on the bath and did a great job, showed up on time and worked all day. Of course there was a tile man and plumber and cabinet guy and granite guy but Mitch has to have the credit. As Mitch said I have a great looking bathroom for being in a mobile home. I have to agree. After all of the good stuff the only negative is that Tim has a hard time returning customer calls but that is the way contractors are. But that said I would hire him again to work on my house.

I am very, very happy with Linden Construction. Tim Linden has delivered on everything in more than a timely manner, is always available and his crew is friendly and efficient. My last experience with a different individual was disastrous. I would recommend Linden Construction with no reservations whatsoever.

Once the contract was signed he took several weeks to begin then I believe he gave the job to sub contractors and never checked the work. About 6 weeks later after many unanswered texts he said it was finished. When I went to see the the wall, the drywall was all uneven and unfinished, door frames painted sloppy, broken light switches, paint on ceiling. Now I have to start all over.....

I was very pleased with experience. The end result was amazing. Tim kept me informed every step of the way even after I added a few additional things to be done. The project was done with efficiency and everything looks wonderful. .They also took care to keep my house in tack which was greatly appreciated.

Overall, quality of the job was excellent. Had some issues with promised work days and times not delivered. He had multiple jobs going (which he said we wouldn't do) and I felt that we took second place in some situations.

Project: New Windows - Multiple
The project is done, but they have to come back and redo a few things. I like the windows they installed and the sliding door. Not happy with the sliding screen door. The quality of this screen door is not what I expected - below my expectations. It does not slide well and goes off track. I feel a customer should have a wider choice of manufactures to choose from, he only offered one company, (my mistake)..

Linden Construction fixed my childs bathroom that was leaking and installed a new bathtub. They were very professional and the work came out great! They really made a difference in the bathroom, they matched the tile and its looks like new. I will definitely hire them to do future projects.
