About us

Hello, I'm Kevin, Owner and operator of Lionheart Fire & Hearth, LLC dba Refiners Fire Services. My goal is to provide quality service at an affordable rate year after year. If I can't fix it, I don't charge. When I service a direct vent gas fireplace, 80-90% of my service does not require parts replacement, just a bit of expertise in cleaning and adjusting and knowing when to replace a part and when not to. I also install wood stoves and inserts, install and service freestanding gas stoves, inserts and built-in fireplace, install and service firepits and BBQs. I can extend and install gas lines indoors or out and underground. Cold, windy, rainy days still ahead, if you enjoy a warm cozy and romantic evening with your spouse in front of the fire, but it's not working or looking so good.... call me! I will come out and inspect, clean and adjust it so it's warm and cozy I have been in the industry for over 20 years and now own and operate my own fireplace business.

This was a pretty straight forward service call on our two gas fireplaces. From the research I did their price for service is very competitive. I spoke with Margaret who was professional and friendly sent me an estimate within a day or two and an appointment was set up. No fuss no muss....Keven arrived a half hour early and got right to work.. The man knows his fireplaces and I will echo what others have said which is HONEST!! I have no idea as to the workings of the fireplace and he COULD have said we needed new equipment and other items to replace what I thought was a faulty switch but did not. He answered all my many questions and the fireplaces are clean and operational for the winter. He will be my go to for future Gas fireplace needs..

If you are looking to get fireplace up and running, this guy will do it for you. Communication is not a strength. He diagnosed and fixed the problem right away. I thought I was getting the whole fireplace serviced but only fixed the issue. Glad to have it running again.

Really terrible communication, lack of organization, and virtually no follow through. Worst experience I have ever had. Reviews on other sites warn about this company, wish I would have known before I wasted months trying to track these guys down. Summary: - Missed appointment window (twice) - came out, said they needed to order a part. - didn't respond to text or email after over 7 attempts - a month later billed me for $175, still no other communication and still no working fireplace - got a nice email saying they had fired that employee and asked to try again, I did. - same guy (Ryan) came back out with the wrong part. - didn't put the fireplace back together fully - 2 weeks, no communication (he said he would follow up with the right part) - no response to the text or email I'm done waiting. I feel foolish for trying so hard to make this work.
