We hired RL Lockwood Construction for a major reconstruction project of our home. The most significant issue throughout the project was the absence of consistent project oversight, coordination, and effective on-site supervision. Many problems appeared to stem not from a single construction error, but from issues that were missed, uncoordinated, or left unresolved during construction and closeout. The project experienced substantial delays beyond the original completion schedule. Although a certificate of occupancy was issued, the home was not ready for occupancy. Multiple systems had not been demonstrated or commissioned, several doors and windows were not fully functional, and numerous construction and finish items remained unresolved. The contract required a final walkthrough and punch-list process. Despite repeated requests, neither was ever provided. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend RL Lockwood Construction.
