Painting or Staining - Small Projects
First, we hired them to do taping repairs and painting in our living room/foyer (both have very high ceilings). Mr. Logan sent Corey who gave us an estimate. He wasn't confident to do the repairs but was certain on the painting. We went with another company for the repairs and they did a fantastic job. We called Mr. Logan and Corey back and Mr. Logan said he would be sending out two people for a new painting estimate and Corey was the only one who responded and came to our home. Corey started the job, moving very fast, painting trim he didn't sand down causing the paint to lift, didn't edge, left paint gaps in our ceilings and walls, damaged our trim along the stairs, left paint in our carpet all along the stairs. Paint drips were everywhere. When we addressed these issues, he didn't want to fix it and quit in the middle of the job. We called Mr. Logan who was prompt to rectify the issue and informed us Corey was let go weeks prior to and no one informed us. He sent Bridgette, Robert, and Jonathan to rectify the issue. They made us feel they would do a professional and attentive job. They mentioned they had not had a day off in three weeks from a previous job. I was concerned because I didn't want them to rush the job. They started yesterday and "finished" today. First, if they had slowed down and paid attention to detail, I believe their work would be pretty good; however, they layered trim semi-gloss paint on the walls at edges (didn't tape in some areas), spot fixed the ceiling with satin paint (Palais white) when we had flat ceiling paint (ultra-pure white) for them to use, so areas of our ceiling are shiny while other areas are not. They left half of a major wall unpainted, the sanded marks I did from correcting paint drips are still there, so they did not apply the second coat to fix that wall, much of the trim was barely sanded and then painted, so you can still see the paint that was lifting from Corey's job under the paint they applied to it, they left some trim untouched. They painted over the gouges Corey left in our wall instead of sanding and filling the ridges properly. There is paint around vents and light fixtures, there are paint drips throughout the trim, esp along our staircase since they rushed it. Some areas of our walls have flat ceiling paint instead of the satin wall paint. And in some areas they sanded leaving dust all over the newly painted accent wall. We have dozens of photos of the lackluster job. My major concern/issue: I was told they weren't going to rush it and that they would correct everything Corey did and didn't do and I was told we could do a walk through with them after to ensure we were satisfied with the job. They were on their way out, when I mentioned some concerns and my first major concern was that some of the walls were never given a second or first coat and the stairs were just painted over the damages and not properly fixed. As soon as I started speaking, I received immediate push back with perturbed attitudes about how picky I was being and that it was going to cost extra money and it would need wood filler. As I tried to show other areas I was told I was trying to take them for more work. Then they proceeded to make me feel that I was getting what I paid for. Logan (w/o seeing the place) quoted us $1300 for the work after we were mis-quoted by Corey (which we thought was fair given the damages) and had something needed more attention than what we agreed, we would have discussed that, but they never mentioned anything and painted over a damaged area and seemed to be perfectly fine with the job they did. They were completely unprofessional at the end that I cried. More issues I discovered after they left and by that time, it was clear that they didn't value me as customer nor a person. I asked Mr. Logan for a $200 partial refund an...

I told her we would try to fix mistakes for 1300 she said too much and said 700 we clearly opted out she call me back said ok 1300 we did a great job as we do. Interior Painting or Staining: 1 - 2 Rooms
I was impressed with Mr. Logan and John when they came to give me an estimate. I was confident they were professional. The first thing that happened was no one showed up the day I expected. There was a miscommunication they said even though I continually said the day I wanted to start. I chose to use satin paint and apparently that is more difficult to work with because it has a shiny finish. My walls have places that are not shiny but look more flat. There are also places on the ceiling that is not covered well. Overall I am disappointed in the quality of the work. I paid a lot of money to have 2 bedrooms painted plus bought the paint and did not receive what I consider a professional job. I did not contact them to have them try to fix things. There were other things that happened such as not showing up at the time daily when they said they would and not finishing the job on time so I was ready to be done with them.
Response from Logan Enterprises
"Lets tell the truth the job was suppose to be three weeks down the line and you said your mother push you to clean closets out .i knew you were cool but your mother was not fund of niggers around the house. My workers wife was in the hospital and we told you....and you said you understood but your mother did not. I would have made anything right not that type of business man even if it meant a refund for some of the job."
