How We Got Started

I chose to work in this industry because Prior to starting my business I practiced tree care for 25 years as a hobby. I have quite the talent for pruning and have recruited like minded workers. Being suspended in a tree canopy 40 feet above the ground puts a great big smile on my face. I enjoy what I do and do it for the love of it.

We started in this industry in 2000.

We describe our business as Rooted in the community

They quoted an amazing price for the removal and stump grinding of 11 trees. The crew showed up on time, were very efficient and cleaned up after themselves. I have already recommended them to my friends.

Project: Trim Trees
Was originally told work would be done on tuesday and wednesday. Came Tuesday only, did not finish and it took a week for them to come back and finish. Needed some extra work done as stump originally tagged for leaving had to be removed. Extra to remove was very expensive. Asked them to remove roots they left sticking up so a lawn mower could get over them... did not do it. Left gate to pasture open when they left. Had a branch removed that had a cable from it to another branch. Left a piece of the branch dangling from the cable instead of removing it. Had canopy of trees raised and they left a lot of small bare branches dangling below instead of removing them
Response by Lone Oak - Tree Service: The original schedule did include two consecutive days. However, the scope of work changed slightly that would require the use of a small tractor (skid steer) to remove a stump that was not originally specified for removal. The skid steer would not be available until the following week. I delayed the completion of the job until we could mobilize the skid steer and had that discussion with the client. The stump that was designated for leaving in place was filled a concrete column 2'diameter 6' tall. To completely remove that stump required the use of our grinder, pulling sections of it down with our truck since it could not be cut completely through due to the concrete, and a skid steer to load the large sections of wood and concrete. A week later when we returned to finish the pruning and loading out of material with the skid steer we were asked to grind down two surface roots that were missed on the stump grind of another tree. We did not return with our grinder and I explained that we would have to return at another time to grind the roots. A tree designated for removal had been previously cabled years prior. We cannot bring metal to our disposal sites. We cut the branch with the cable attached to it to its smallest size we could manage without risking hitting the bolt and cable embedded in the wood with our chainsaw. The chunk of wood was approximately 1' diameter by 6" thick with about 10 feet of cable. We left that onsite, in that, we have no means of disposal for it. I have not returned to the site yet to address the bare branches dangling below, I was only made aware of this through the review above. When I return to grind the surface roots I will be happy to address the dangling branches.
