Louis is a man of his word. I am completely happy with my new deck. He over delivers on his craftsmanship. Louis and His crew arrives on time and work a full day. You do not have to stand over them and watch. They will get the job done right. When you call, he will answer the phone and will do his best to help you. You will not regret trusting him with your project.

It was a very communicative experience from day one. They presented the project design, managed permits, excavation, construction assembly, and lighting. They were very flexible with their schedule and work environment. They were extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the project from start to finish. They worked very well with the township and other vendors involved in the project. They took the lead and were very sensitive to the timeline. They did not charge extra for change orders. It is a very nice Christian family business with strong quality standards. I have no problem recommending them.

Louis was in touch with me almost as soon as I submitted my work request, He set up a convenient appointment, gave an on site reasonable estimate for the project, started the work earlier than was originally proposed and got to completion quickly and competently. I would not hesitate to recommend this firm to anyone or to hire him again should we need work of this type in the future.

We hired Kalmar's to replace the sinking garage slab at our house. They were excellent to work with, in good communication with us during the job, and proposed reasonable solutions to small issues as they arose. Honest people who were very easy to work with. We would recommend and rehire without hesitation.

I can t speak highly enough of Louis and his sons! From the start, Louis was honest and realistic about the timeline for completion. Before he began working on our project (a brick veneer to cover up bricks that had been painted a hideous color), he would occasionally call to check in and keep us updated on the status of bricks we ordered and the end date of his current project. He said that he only takes on one project at a time, and that s absolutely true. He has been at my project every single day since they started. They haven t finished yet, but I m still writing this review because I trust they will continue this excellent work. They are hardworking, trustworthy, and honest. I have never had this great of an experience with any contractor, or anyone in this industry. Louis and his sons are third and fourth generation masons, so they have a genuine love and passion for their work. They combine their skills with real artistry. Louis proposed putting a row of smaller, half length bricks in (I think he called them header row bricks??) so the brick wall would look more authentic and industrial, which is the exact aesthetic we were going for! Every design choice he has made has been the right choice, and this is not the easiest, most straightforward brick wall to cover. I m honestly thrilled with the gorgeous work he s putting out. Not only that, but they clean up the worksite every day! I never even asked, they just did it on their own! Like, not just putting tools away in an orderly fashion, but sweeping/cleaning the floors and furniture. This allows me to live a normal life even though construction is being done in my kitchen. This tells you what good, honorable people they are. I would highly recommend him to anyone. Plus!!! They re great with my small dog who is home while they work and can be a bit nosey. My dog just loves them, and I think that s the biggest indicator of what great people they are. 10/10

They were great. They were friendly. They did more then they had to do. Above all they did excellent work. Would definitely recommend. Would definitely hire again.

Louis and his sons were great to work with for my garage floor. They were professional, friendly and hard working. My project was completed ahead of schedule and I'm very happy with the results. I will definitely consider Louis Kalmar Contracting for future projects.

They were all very professional from start to finish. If you want a great job at a good price hire these guys. They cleaned up the jobsite every day. Very satisfied with the end result. Plan on hiring them for other projects. You won't be disappointed.

Was pleased with his work and would hire him again. There was a missed communication but everything was worked out. He worked with me to get how I wanted it done.

Louis was prompt, and helpful over the phone, but he did not do the work. The crew that did the work was nice, but the bolts the brought to do the job were smaller than they should have been.

Louis had a professional manner was very accurate in keeping appointments. The job was done efficiently and he worked with the customer for impute on designing the concrete layout!

Their work is well done and they were more than happy to come back if they missed something.

All I can say is Louis Kalmar Contracting is a class act and the work performed exceedeed my expectations. I would recomend this contractor to everyone using Home Advisor and all my friends. I discussed future projects with Louis and will certainly call him when I'm ready to do them.

Excellent contractor to do business with. Reasonably priced, very good quality. He goes out of his way to make sure the work is done right.
