At Wimpy's, we are proud to be the company that Sarasota has relied on since 1973! Behind our name stands a history of quality, excellence, and service that has lasted more than three generations. Winifred Butler started Wimpy's in 1973. "Wimpy" was his nickname and he wanted to give the business a name that people would remember. He hoped that they would also remember top-quality service with a friendly attitude. When Wimpy passed away in 2003, his son Bubba took over the business. Bubba became the youngest Master Plumber in Florida when he was awarded the honor at the age of 18! Bubba's, son Mike became a third-generation Master Plumber and a licensed AC contractor to carry on Wimpy's tradition of dependable plumbing and AC services

There is NO BETTER plumbing business in the Sarasota area! I had my entire house repiped. Wimpys is far SUPERIOR than any other plumbing company! Their workers do EXCEPTIONAL WORK! They were very professional.. did the job like a well oiled machine! I can’t say enough about how pleased I am with making the right decision to hire WIMPY’S! Don’t go anywhere else! We had a sink garbage disposal that stopped working. We called Wimpy's to have it repaired or replaced. The repairman showed up on time, explained the problem to us, and recommended a new garbage disposal. He completed the job in 30 minutes. The disposal works beautifully and is much, much quieter than the original.

I just had my AC system replaced by Wimpy"s and am very pleased with their work. The team - Marco, Rico and Ben were very professional and pleasant, took time to answer all my questions and concerns. I had used Wimpy's in the past about 2 years for a re-pipe job and that was also done well by Cody and his team. So glad I used them again for my AC install. Great company!

Water line to outside hose was severed by a landscaper. I'm very thankful it happened early in the day and on a weekday!
The repair was quickly accomplished by a gentleman that's been to my home previously. I think his name is Anthony...? Anyway, he was very efficient, friendly got the job done swiftly.

Todd from Wimpy’s was prompt, professional and did an amazing job fixing a leaky pipe that was located in a concrete block wall. The repairs were completed in the morning and the job came in much less than originally estimated! My wife and I are thrilled with Wimpy’s! This company is all about customer service and customer satisfaction!

While I have no issues with the work done, I find the cost of the repair to be excessive. A $15 part, less than 30 minutes of work while they were already here for annual checkup on the AC. Even after a preferred customer discount, the cost was almost $300. I appreciate covering other costs associated with running a business, but this felt excessive.
