Fast Fix Sliding Door Repair-Unlicensed Contractor

I had made an appointment with Lucas. He was on time, friendly, personable, knowledgable and professional. Fair priced! I hired Lucas on two occasions; one to replace the rollers on the patio door and to replace the patio door lock. I have refered Lucas to others and they were very happy with his services

They were ahead of the scheduled time slot that i was given. They worked on the door and replaced the rollers on the bottom and adjusted the door so that it closed properly. This business was the first to contact me and their schedule was open and they came the next day. I didn't get any additional estimates so the price of $295 for the work performed was possibly higher than other businesses.

When Lucas came he forget to bring a part he needed. Did what he could and said would be back in two days. Did not return. I called them. Tried to leave a message but the mailbox was full. After another 4 calls, they made an anointment to return and finish the job ( a week and a half later). They did not show up for that appointment when I called to see where they were they said had gotten into an accident. Made another apportionment for three days later. I will see if they show up this time.

We weren't actually able to work with Lucas due to numerous reasons, but he was very responsive and professional.

Luca claimed to understand my project and said he could fix it. He showed up, tooled with my broken closet door for 30 min, then took off without saying anything. Only to leave a text that he needs to research the parts he would need to fix my closet. 24 hours later there is no word from Lucas. I text to ask about his progress. He never replied. Amateur hour.

Lucas and his assistant are courteous, professional and friendly. They are also fast and good at their craft. They are coming back to repair an additional door so the project is not done yet and I am already writing this. Happy I found him. Update 2/28/22. Lucas refuses to come back to fix one of the 5 doors that he never fully fixed (because he ordered the wrong size rail insert). Nothing I can do but to change my 5 stars to 1 and I will NOT recommend him again. Update 3/21/22. I am happy to report that Lucas returned to fix the door. Thank you Lucas.

First, I was somewhat shocked that Lucas was such a young man running his own business but from my observation, he knows his stuff. He and an apprentice came and made my sliding patio door slide again. They both wore face masks...pandemic protocol. Lucas replaced 2-roller assemblies and adjusted everything so the door opens, slides, and closes easily. I thought his cost was fair. So far, I'm a happy customer. Thank you, Lucas!
