Lucero Tree Service did not complete the quoted service. Tomas Lucero was referred by Home Advisers with an on-line request. He came out to the property and was handed a form with the requirements for my sprinkler and landscaping requests . After walk around property, he stated he would make all the required requests for $650.00 and could start the next day. I was not available on that day, and we agreed that he would come the following Friday. Prior to that day, I emailed him the same request form to be sure that we would not have any misunderstanding and to confirm the price and date of service. Tomas and two of his Sons arrived on Friday morning and The first thing Tomas said to me was, he misquoted on the rock which was to be placed under the mailbox. He decided to use river rock in bags instead of bulk rock and because of his discission it will cost me $100.00 more for the rock. I knew this was a rip-off, but I want it finished, so I agreed. They installed the rock without the use of a plastic shield as requested on the form to keep weed from coming up through the rock. He installed to two timers but didn't program them, it took me two days to get them programed, they still need to be reprogramed. They installed several pop-up heads as requested. He told me he would replace most of the heads to different spreads. He didn't do that he used my existing heads and simply adjusted them. They lowered several heads and shut off some heads and or capped them. They found an additional broken line in the front of the property which they dug up to repair. When they asked to be paid, he then announced he wanted $60.00 more dollars to pay for the broken line they found. I said "no, I already gave you $100.00 more that you quoted, "You quoted me on repairing all my sprinkler challenges, so I am not going to pay extra for that repair. Then they wanted to quote on the weekly service for my property, That quote was 5 times what I am currently paying. They were in a hurry and ran off in a huff. I am handy capped and ride around on a mobility scooter so there are areas on the property that I can't get to. After they left, I discovered they had not repaired the landscaping drain line that was in the quote and found several heads that were over-spraying. I called Tomas and asked him to come back and fix the heads and clean out the drain. He said he never quoted on the drain. I said read the form you agreed too. He said he's not coming back and hung up the phone on me. Now I have discovered he is not a licensed contractor and as such could not legally contact for a project over $500.00. He never gave me an invoice or a receipt for the job. I was under the impression that Home Advisers vetted their recommendations, I see now they don't. Lucero Tree Service is in the business of overcharging after the work starts.

Wow! What a great team work of Five Guys. They arrived early, introduced themselves, started right in and worked hard. They had three trees to trim, 2 large saga palms, bushes to shape and lots of weeds. They even picked up branches that fell in neighbors yards. Very pleased with outcome. Actually - the best our yard has looked in two years. Thank you Tomas.

Tomas and his crew arrived on time and worked as a team, with Tomas doing the tree trimming and the crew cleaning and clearing all the branches and leaves. It was a huge job as there were 2 very large trees that they trimmed. They were very polite, wore their masks (covid19) and didnâ t stop working until the job was done. They cleared and leafblew the entire back yard and patio after they worked, not just the tree area. They left the yard in perfect shape! I would absolutely recommend this company.
