Matt Lugo-Unlicensed Contractor

I hired Matt to install some recess lighting in my kitchen. He assured me that he could complete the lighting as Electrical was his specialty. He also assured me he could also complete the finish work. He said the job would take two days, two days turned into three weeks and he never completed the job. I was unsatisfied with the mud work. I told him to send me a qualified mudder. Instead, he sent a friend who had worked as a locksmith. I called Matt to discuss a resolution. He started to avoid my calls and messages. He would come up with excuses, he said his guys were learning which he never disclosed to me, He said he had bad service, he said he would call me later, he said he had an appointment, he said he was sick. He never came out to see the final work, although I had left messages for him and told him I was concerned and unsatisfied with the work. I asked for a refund. He no longer accepted my calls or responded to me. Beware of Lugo?s handyman services. Incapable-dishonest.
