I've been in construction since 1968. I've owned my own business since 1978. I cracked a pane of stained glass on a job site. I called Bill to get an estimate. I had to repeatedly call bill to contact the home owner. After 2 and a half weeks we all met to look at the job. He said he could do it. I gave him $100 down. Finally 3 weeks later he called and said he was done but the homeowner would not pay him. I went to look at the job and it was terrible he broke the cracked pane of glass and the pieces fell between the 2 sheets of glass. he said he couldn't get it out so he left all the broken glass as is and put in a new pane. It looked ridiculous. There was putty smeared all over the glass. didn't bother to clean it. Used wrong colored putty. When asked for an explanation he told me " the homeowner is too picky' I said What! He said he didn't like the way the conversation was going and said to me," well your the you that broke the glass. " I just shook my head confused. He said he would reimburse my $100. Never did. He was untimely, sloppy and unprofessional. He may be a nice guy, but in my opinion , his business skills leave a lot to be desired.
