Water Heater Repair or Service
I used my Service Magic account to find a plumber for my son who lives in Chester, VA. His hot water heater wasn't working and he didn't know who to call in his area. Lyons Plumbing promptly called him and told him how to reset it with the reset button. We didn't know that hot water heaters had a reset button. His hot water heater started working again and Lyons didn't have to come to his house. Their customer service was great! And there was no charge.

The quality and costumer service I received was top notch, but wondered if the cost was a bit high. (It has been a while since I have had to hire a plumber.) I would recommend Lyons Plumbing and would certainly recommend the plumber that came out to do the work!

I had a small problem with the apointment time. 1st appointment was missed ~ Lyons quickly rescheduled. Then plumber was tardy for 2nd apointment, BUT did fully take the blame. The plumber seemed very knowledgable - had been in the business for decades - and told me my leaky, dripping noises were simply pipes expanding, not leaky pipes. He looked in the attic and found a hole in the roof which explained the water mark on the ceiling. When it came time to pay the bill, he called the office, explained the work done in the hour he was here and they gave him the charge - $135.00. I thought that was very high. Small family biz - nice people.

The gentleman that did the repair was very courteous and personable. Very commendable. Scheduling the job was not quite as quick as I would have liked, but I cannot hold external circumstances against them (there were some unavoidable conflicts). If I could be assured I would get the same individual again, I would certainly use this company for any future repairs (thankfully there are none in sight).

The plumber as 1 1/2 hours late, and I didn't receive a call from his home office letting me know. I had to call (twice), and both times, there was no real apology about the inconvenience ... the plumber himself was good, but I'm not sure I'd use Lyons again, based on the tardiness and the cost of the work.
