He did an alright job

It was a horrible experience. There were serious cracks in the foundation of the home. He told me it was settling and normal for a house. I did not agree. I called a foundation expert to get his opinion to find out it was not settling. The house has foundation cracks that will cost over $10k to repair. The inspector wrote the exterior of the house including the crack as satisfactory. The home inspector did not do a thorough inspection. Told me he wrote up what was important to him, which does not make sense since he wasn't buying the house. He also revealed to the realtor and myself he spoke to the home owner of the house who showed up during the inspection. He also left off the inspection report the huge hole around the plumbing, that was not important to him. Many items were left off his report that I knew to be wrong with the home. The report was vague. The inspector did ask what can he do after I called him to state he gave me bad information. He sent over a revised report regarding the foundation cracks. Very bad experience, would not recommend.

When he was finished he was very informative about his findings and explained any terminology that I was not familiar with. He made it clear to me what findings revealed safety concerns as well as anything to watch for possible problems that might arise in the future. He noted on his report things that were safety issues as well as things that could be improved at my discretion. He told me to feel free to contact him with any questions that might arise after I read his written report. I feel confident at going ahead with my purchase of the house that he inspected. I would encourage anyone who is in need of a thorough, professional inspection to utilize this company's services.
