The attic stairs to our 1955 Home would no longer work. After calling over 30 companies, we found Alberto Acevedo's Magno's Construction. He came over with the idea of determining the type of replacement stairs needed. However, after analyzing the situation, he asked us if we would consider his fixing the stairs instead of replacing them. We were thrilled with this option since we had been told our home was too old to fix the issues. He arrived today and had the job completed in about 2 hours. He showed me how to pull the stairs down and then put the stairs back up since my husband is not able to do this anymore. His fee was very reasonable compared to the other quotes we had received. He was easy to work with; listened carefully to our needs; and provided an excellent job. We know we will be using him again in the future. We are proud to recommend him as an excellent contractor.

We selected Alberto from Magnos Construction based on feedback from others he worked with. Our Los Altos home complete remodel/addition took about a year to complete, which gave us the opportunity to evaluate him as a general manager across all stages of construction, from demolition to installing finishes. He does truly excellent work in concrete and framing, and created an open-concept kitchen/dining/living room and addition by installing an enormous beam and footings to support the roof. What impressed me most was that Alberto really cares about the project. He's someone you can trust and depend on to get the job done right. There were several times where we (the owners) changed our mind and he was always supportive of our decisions - a pleasure to work with. The G.C. Alberto Acevedo is a real professional, he's experienced, knowledgeable, taking pride in his work, and always committed to provide top-rated quality projects from start to finish. Previously he's completed an outside Redwood staircase before we hired him to take on a major rebuilding of our 2 balconies with Trek, where he's finished the big job under the estimated time of completion. Passing all Oakland inspection schedules. We are probably the first and only home in the Cresmont area of the Oakland Hills that has 4 6X6 galvanized steel posts (30'-35' long) built over 4 steel reinforced concrete piers fortified with solid steel. Our decks are solidly supported by compressed 6X12 beams. He works and coordinates well with architects, structural/soil engineers, and other contractors/sub contractors. We are very happy and proud that he's built our beautiful balconies overlooking the panoramic Bay Area. After all, what more is there to say? We have 2 lifetime guaranteed decks thanks to Magno's Construction of Hayward, complimented by breathtaking glass railing (by Concord All Glass company).
