Interior Painting or Staining
I hired Miguel, owner of MAL Handyman, to paint my whole house on April 18,2018. He made 2 holes in my wall and paint splashed on my vase and picture frames. He tried to cover the holes by placing furniture in front of them. I confirmed with him about the damages and he told me he didn't complete the job yet. He told me he will come back on Saturday to continue the job. On Friday, April 20,2018, he called and demanded money when he leaves on Saturday. I told him the proposal stated he will get the remainder amount when the job is completed. He responded the contract is voided and will now need money every time he comes in order to pay the painters. I told him no, that was not the agreement. I've lost the $1000 deposit and $1000 I gave him on the first day he worked. He and his painters are unprofessional and have left a mess in my home.There's no quality for their workmanship. He always has an explanation that they need to leave early due to laundry or his painters have somewhere to go, and he CONSTANTLY asked to get paid. I do not recommend this company and please think twice before hiring him.

Did not show up when promised twice and did not notify me he was not coming. One morning he showed up at 8:30AM and left all of his stuff out front while he went to another job. Showed back up at 4PM and worked til 6PM. Asked for a large payment (after I already put down a deposit for materials) "so he could pay his worker". I declined fearing he would not return. He did finish everything the next day and the work and price was acceptable.
