About us

At Marquardt Interiors, everything begins with you—how you want your home to feel and how you imagine living in it. Once we discover this together, I create a clear design vision tailored to your lifestyle. I design interiors that are functional, cohesive, and personally aligned with your style—whether modern, traditional, minimal, or eclectic—supported by a perspective shaped by both European and American living. As a certified Residential Interior Designer (RIDQC) and graduate of the New York Institute of Art and Design, I guide you with thoughtful space planning, color consultation, and custom digital floorplans with realistic 3D renderings. I source quality furniture, décor, and accessories from trusted brands—using my trade discounts whenever possible—and collaborate with reliable local craftsmen to bring each design to life. I would be pleased to support you in creating a space that is beautiful, comfortable, and uniquely yours.

Working with Ellen Marquardt was an outstanding experience from start to finish. She asked thoughtful questions to truly understand how we wanted to use the space, and her visuals—floorplans and 3D renderings—made decision-making easy and stress-free. Her deep knowledge and clear explanations of the “why” behind each design choice gave us total confidence in the process. Highly recommend!

Residential (Interior Space Planner) Design Service
Our bedroom makeover exceeded all expectations thanks to this talented interior designer. They completely transformed the concept, creating a calm and elegant space with a modern vibe. The addition of a wall in front of the built-in cabinets gave us the feel of a walk-in closet and smartly separated the sleeping and dressing areas, while still allowing natural light through a stylish rectangular opening. Thoughtful details like integrated outlets for tech gear made the design both beautiful and functional—we absolutely love the result!

Our living room used to feel busy and mismatched. Ellen helped us turn this room into a cozy, eclectic space that finally feels like us. She guided us in choosing colors, art, and furniture that reflect our personality — and everything functions beautifully now. The TV is no longer the focus, and the room feels calm and creative. We were so pleased we are hiring her to design a new bathroom for us. So excited to work with her again.

Ellen helped us discover how to make our finished basement truly ours-cozy, functional, and full of character. The wallpaper she choose is spectacular, and the furniture layout works perfectly for both TV nights and card games.
