Extremely disappointing experience - roof leak and property damage. We hired McMillan Builders (MB) for a screened porch, covered walkway, and master bath renovation, completed in April 2025. In June 2025, we reported a roof leak in the new walkway. MB stated a water test was completed that conclusively identified the leak?s source as a pre-existing window. We were never provided verifiable documentation of that test despite numerous requests. Two repair attempts by MB did not resolve the issue (though we were assured our roof was not leaking) so we hired another contractor who promptly identified and fixed the leak (not at the window) and we have not had a problem since. Additionally, two holes were drilled in our new ceiling during McMillan Builders diagnostic efforts and were left unrepaired. All statements are documented.

Our home was originally built in the 1940s. We wanted to maintain the character, add modern conveniences, and fix the problems associated with an older house. We hired our own architect and interviewed several contractors for our custom home renovation and addition. Michael at MCM Construction won the project based upon his understanding of what we needed, his energy efficiency proposals, the ability to be flexible, the transparency of his business model, and his personality. We recently moved back in and are very pleased with the results. We would definitely recommend Michael for custom home renovations and additions.
