MDE Home Repair

MDE was running around Havelock NC following Florence (Hurricane) he was supposed to do major repairs inside our home. Required a 10,000 deposit to get started, provided a quote of 32 to 35,000 two weeks later came back and stated $47,000 told him forget it; instantly became 42.000. Asked Duane to get a building permit, and provide receipts. After third time of asking him for building permit and receipts he showed up with a huge hand full of receipts. I guess he expected me to deceive myself and the insurance company. I told him to finish painting and leave. I had specifically asked for all new interior Door frames and doors, you don't need it was his reply, I told him not to worry about window frames I was getting new siding and new windows, with new windows you don't need window frames painted anyway. Supposed to be two coasts of Kilts, primer and paint. Paint is peeling off the old door frames never primed, brand new windows with frames had to remove the old ones. By the way, instead of buying more paint he or his employees just added water to the existing paint. Had a painter come in to paint the new window frames and touch up a few areas and the painter keep mixing said it was way to thin, discovered instead of buying a new 5-gallon paint Duane himself or had his workers add water to the paint, I was told one day they had to knock off early out of paint, Duane would get some more that afternoon. You had been warned; if you wish to verify please contact me and I can introduce to neighbors who had way more problems than I.

The guys were professional and courteous

Dwayne and crew showed up to inspect the roof, came back within half hour with all equipments to repair the roof. They are very professional individuals.

I was very pleased that Jim was quick to respond to my request for an estimate and was then able to schedule it the next day. His crew was on time and did a great job. It was a small job of painting my kitchen ceiling, but I will definitely consider them for future painting as well as other home repairs I have. I would highly recommend MDE Home Repair and Paint.
