Our project was one step and a landing on our porch. Approx. 30 sq feet. We had the top layer of tile removed and concrete around the door area chiseled and jack hammered away. They then cut fossil stone for risers and step/landing in large squares as requested. They did put up a moisture barrier at the entrance and calked after grouting the stone. This was done upon the City of Downeys expectations. I believe that wouldn't have been done had I not called the city to come by to clarify the code for this job. So my only complaint is that some workers, actually most don't keep up or research the code. Then when the city does visit you may have to tear down a project and re do it. That can be costly and frustrating. Our porch and step look great. Not sure if the cost to us was cheap, but it is done and looks great.
