I hired MI Remodelers for a kitchen update, and while I love the final look, the process was a nightmare. I would not wish this experience on anyone. Here is why you should look for another company: 1. Poor Communication & Mismanagement Failed Documentation: They refused to acknowledge mistakes in their own company portal. Shifting Blame: Expect to hear "that?s not in scope," "you didn't tell us," and "Dave didn't say that." The "Liar" Treatment: I was actually called a liar by the team. No Timelines: Despite promises to add them to the portal, I never received a project timeline. High Turnover: I dealt with multiple Project Managers. Disappearing Subs: Subcontractors rarely showed up when scheduled, leading to constant runarounds. 2. Hidden Costs & Lack of Prep Demo Disasters: The demo date was moved, and they do not tell you that YOU are responsible for moving appliances. My husband had to move the stove, fridge, and dishwasher at 4 a.m. to avoid a $1,200 fee for them to do
