We had a great experience with MJA Design for our floor refinishing project. Whitney was great to work with, gave us good advice and was quick to provide an estimate that was significantly less then a competitor. He was always prompt and answered any questions quickly and thoroughly. Alex and Mario did the actual refinishing. They did fantastic work, were kind and courteous. Alex was extremely patient in making sure I saw several different stain choices in multiple rooms before I made my final decision. My husband & I couldn t be happier with the end result. Our 20-yr old pine floors have new life. I m fact, a friend asked if we had the floors replaced! They look that good. Highly recommend MJA Design!!!! We liked them so much that we used them for carpet installation & a larger kitchen/home renovation project. We re so glad we did!

Full house hardwood install. Whitney was great and very prompt - I thought he was the owner of the company because he was so knowledgeable and really appreciated my business. Offered ideas for other projects as well and had great ideas. Alex and Mario the floor installers were very thorough and conscientious of the quality of their work. They did amazing job. Also had custom handrail done which turned out more beautiful than I thought. I am beyond pleased with the final outcome.

I highly recommend MJA Designs! Mike and his team replaced our HVAC system last year and it was one of the best home investments we have ever made. He is beyond knowledgeable in his craft and will not sacrifice any shortcuts or cheap fixes that would undermine their companys reputation. That is hard to find in todays market. Follow-up service is excellent and the products are flawless. Our house is comfortable in any season. Do not hesitate to use MJA Designs.

Knowledgeable, helpful and professional. They would describe my experience with Whitney who represented MJA design. Needed new wood floors to replace a carpet and match existing wood. One house visit with matching samples was all it took to sign up. Floors were done within one week and look awesome.

MJA Design was great to work with especially Whitney! Their design associate provided a number of options to explore, and was helpful in determining the best products that would work in my home. The installation team was quick, efficient, and thorough in their process. Everything was clean after their installation was completed. The floors look beautiful, and my home has been transformed into a place that I love coming home to. The entire process, beginning to end, was so easy. They also did the project at my sister's house and just finished at my son's house. I would gladly recommend MJA Design to anyone searching for new flooring for their home.

This was simply the biggest bang for our buck when it comes to home renovations. MJA was patient, knowledgeable and efficient. We could not be more pleased. Could not have asked for a better outcome.

They re-finished our stairs and did an excellent job and were very polite and thorough.

For starters they showed up promptly at the time they said they would. The results of refinishing our 60's vintage wood floors are outstanding, bringing out the original honey color of the wood grains much to our liking. Additionally, they were able to remove some stains that we thought would be impossible to do. It was a pleasure working with Whitney and Alex.

the general that I had was to have my floor stripped and refinished.These gentlemen were totally professional, from the beginning to the end. They came into my home they covered up and protected my valuables, they were clean and neat in their work and they left my house impeccably clean after they completed their job I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Really EXCELLENT, WONDERFUL, and HIGHLY SATISFYING experience. Whitney was extremely polite, helpful, and understanding of our needs and explained to us everything about the installation process and the cost involved. He was very easily approachable, even late at night, which was a big help. We made some additional changes to our project at the last minute and Whitney was still able to manage more wood and finish the project on time. His chief installer, Alex, and Mario (hope I remember his name correctly) were also very polite, respectful, and excellent workers. I would definitely recommend MJA Design to everyone for big or small projects.

Of all the companies I contacted for quotes, MJA Design was the most responsive, thorough, and least expensive. Workmanship and professionalism was great as well. Will be using them again as well as recommending them to friends. Save yourself the research. I went through it. They are the best.

The project manager for this job, Whitney Cowles, was great. He patiently walked us through everything during our first meeting when we were evaluating different vendors. He then drove all the way back a week later for a second visit to help us make a final decision on the type and color of the wood. His service, plus a good selection of products at reasonable prices was what tipped our decision to use MJA. Also, the install was completed on time as promised and they left the place very clean.

I had a somewhat urgent need for carpet repair and MJA responded quickly. They were personable, professional, and did a great job. Highly recommend!

We had a really great experience with MJA Design, highly recommended. The compressor in our 15 year old heat pump died, and Mike came by very promptly to assess and give some options. It was clear within a few minutes that Mike is *very* passionate about what he does, he was showing me screenshots of his HVAC system at home and (as a fellow Electrical Engineer) went into the weeds on some of the finer details and specifications for the options in my home. Everything was very low pressure, and of all the companies that came by to give estimates, Mike was the only one who was both doing the estimate AND the install, which gave us some confidence that he wasn't just trying to make a quick sale and move onto the next. To add to this, Mike replied immediately to any inquiries we had (even at 10PM on a Friday evening) which demonstrated some great customer service. On the install day Mike and his coworker Favian arrived exactly on time, gave a thorough rundown of the game plan for the day, and executed. Within a few hours we had heat back in our home and they hauled away all the old equipment leaving no mess behind. One week later and we've had no qualms or issues. Thanks again guys!

Exceptional Company and employees. One of the best contractor experiences I've ever had.

This review is for the HVAC services provided by Mike an his crew. In the past I've always had decent HVAC services provided by local companies, but at some point they inevitably try to upsell me on something I don't need because they assume I don't know better. I am *so thankful* for Mike and his 1) knowledge 2) expertise, and possibly the most important, 3) excellent customer service and honesty. Customer service seems to be a lost art, but not here. Mike, and his crew, are exceptionally professional and friendly attitude. Their work was fast, efficient, and done correctly the first time. The quality of that, combined with their pricing made it a no-brainer to switch over to them for all our HVAC needs in the future. Highly recommended - if you're looking for quality products with the best customer service you could ask for, look no further. (For reference - our 20+ year HVAC system died and we had to have our whole system in our townhouse replaced over the summer.)

Loved working with Whitney and his crews. In addition to refinishing my hard wood floors, they also installed new carpeting in all our bedrooms, and I am extremely pleased with both services. Whitney came by several times during both projects to ensure I was happy, and the crews did the work with minimal disruption to our household. Whitney was the only one who actually LISTENED from the very beginning. Not only did he show up on time for the estimate, he phoned to call he was on his way AND was well prepared with what was discussed on the phone. He arrived with with photos, suggestions and was more than willing to work with our desired schedule around the holidays. I have to say the following only because anyone who thinks that everything goes "as planned &/or estimated" has a lot to learn. When we had bumps along the way (due to OUR floors - not Whitney or MJA Designs) Whitney & his team had the patients and the knowledge to come up with solutions. They made, what was NOT their issue, their issue. They were not going to be happy until we were. Alex made a stain color JUST FOR OUR FLOORS. It took sunlight, clouds, evenings and several sample areas throughout the house to see the actual stain before we had the right one. MJA Designs treats your home like it's their home.
