I contracted with MJ Dutra for a straightforward job: replace polymeric sand on an existing slate walkway (42 feet x 2 feet). The work was to be completed by March 28. The man who did the work arrived on time, but he used beach sand, not polymeric. He insisted it was polymeric but just needed to be sealed (for additional money, of course). I called the company to say I would not pay until the job was completed correctly. We have set several dates for removing sand, old polymeric, and repairing slate pavers he broke in advance of applying polymeric but even that preliminary work has yet to be completed, a month later. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY.

I had this company come out to give me a quote to lay pavers down for a sidewalk, I supplied all the materials, pavers,3yards white sand, 2 buckets of polymer sand and 2 60 lb bags of concrete is what I was told to get by Moacir, he is the gentleman that took measurements and gave the quote. The sidewalk is 40×3 long, with a short section that was in front of the deck to be wider for steps. I expressed to Moacir I wanted the new sidewalk to be 4 inches higher than the old ones. I also told him I do not want any weeds growing,, The sidewalk is not to the height I wanted and they did not use all the sand I bought specifically for that job. So now I am stuck with 1.5 yards of sand.

My patio and fire pit turned out beautifully. The two gentlemen were very friendly, hard working men and very meticulous with their work and made sure we were pleased with the final results. When the job was completed they cleaned the entire area and left it neat and tidy. I would definitely recommend them.
