They were supposed to come and complete the garage shingled side of the house and repair and re paint and they never did after much communication with the owner.

He did a great job painting the house, very pleased. Did what was promised. Communicated quickly,reasonable price.

Prep work of sanding and scraping and removing mildew set up the house to look great. The house looks fabulous with great curb appeal. Very professional stayed in contact through out Job

This is a hard review to write. I know Marty relies on this business for his livelihood, but I feel strongly enough about some things that I had to write it. First, the house painting came out really nice and some of the handyman jobs were done well. However, there are thousands of paint chips on the ground which were not cleaned up, as there were no tarps laid down and the guys only raked. The building refuse was promised to be picked up numerous times and was not and some of the renovations had to be redone by another carpenter because they were either not done correctly or not finished. Many times I was promised the company would be by to finish up jobs but they did not show and the communication between them and the customer could be better. So, if you don't mind cleaning up thousands of paint chips from your yard, hire this company. If you don't mind paying out more money for a dumpster for the building refuse, hire this company. If you don't mind paying another contractor to have some building errors fixed, hire this company. And if you aren't on a set schedule for your jobs to be finished and don't mind waiting, hire this company. Recommend with reservations.

We had our den and stairwell painted, flooring replaced and shelving put up, as well as some oddball things. Very happy with how the work turned out, Marty is very accommodating and easy to work with.

I hired Marty to renovate my bathroom and paint my apartment. The paint job was done really well and I was very pleased. The bathroom renovation, however, was a disaster. No one on his crew knows how to lay tile. The floor was so uneven that I had him rip it up and do it again (which he charged me for.) The second job was just as bad, with several areas that are totally uneven. He also did the tile in my shower and it legitimately looks like I did it myself - horrible. I ended up having to sue Marty because he just stops responding to my messages asking him to come to fix it. He had all my money and never offered a refund, just ignored my messages. I ended up hiring someone else to redo the tile the shower, which cost me another $2,500. In the next year, I also hope to hire someone else to fix the tile on the floor. Working with Marty started off really great, and ended really badly. I would not suggest him for anything other than painting services!!

The owner Marty was very responsive and kept me up to date daily on every aspect of the job, which I truly appreciate. The guys who actually did the painting were stellar. They showed up on time, worked the entire time they were here and cleaned up after themselves each day. Great job, my house looks amazing. Thank you Marty and your wonderful painting crew.

I recently had my house (above) exterior painted by MJR Construction and was more than pleased with the final results. The owner, Marty was very responsive and kept me up to date daily which I very much appreciated. My house had not been painted in 11 years and needed significant prep work prior to the painting. Marty's crew from the Prep Team to the Painters did an incredible job . The crew was very professional and everything was all picked up at the end of each day. They prepped my house, primed it, and gave it 2 coats of stain and it looks great! I found MJR Construction through HomeAdvisor and it proved to be an excellant choice. Great company!!

We checked the floor multiple times and shared our concerns on the unevenness of the floor multiple times. You can see the lines of planks all across the work done. It is coming out in one of the closets, finishing is very bad. The owner, Marty promised us to fix it after the payment, never came back. We hired MJR for a couple of reasons: - The owner himself was going to be involved in the job which gave us confidence on quality. - The owner is a veteran which gave us BIG confidence on keeping the promises. But we are very disappointed.

Marty and his team were great! They performed the work in a timely manner and the job was done perfectly. I’d have no hesitation in recommending MRJ to anyone.

My home is an antique with very uneven floors. Marty spent a lot of time making sure the floor was properly leveled and that I was happy with the result at every stge of the process. ahis fee was more than fair.
