The system was installed on 2/21/19. Today is 8/15/20. I called them to come repair the AC unit earlier in the week. The owner of the company Mercel Johnson said he would be by Friday but did not show up. My house was over 80 degrees for 3 days. Since he no showed Friday he sent someone to my home who did not fix my AC on Saturday. It actually was getting hotter since his employee tried to repair the AC. Now it is later Saturday and the owner says he can have someone out in two days so I will not be able to stay in my home till Tuesday . All of the parts are under warranty he just would not show up himself to fix the AC so it remains 85 degrees in my home even after they came out and claimed to have fixed the 1.5 year old AC unit that they installed. There is no reason for a system a little over a year old that cant cool my house lower than 80 degrees but that is the situation and when I need this company to help me they dropped the ball. His excuse is that I never called him for routine maintenance but the contract says nothing about this being mandatory in order for their company to honor the 10 year parts warranty that I have in writing. Be prepared to be let down if you do business with Mercel Johnson.

They replaced my Carrier Evaporator Coil OK, but after 2+ months, they still have not sent me my $660.00 Carrier Corp. Manufacturers rebate. I paid them the full amount for their work upfront, and they were to send back to me, my rebate. Carrier Corp confirmed the rebate was forwarded to their Parts Distributor and on to M;M Johnson on 4/18/19, and that M&M Johnson was supposed to send a check for $660.00, to me. That has not happened. My ratings for this company will change if I receive my rebate check soon. Ive tried over and over to contact them about this and can only leave a VM, but never a call-back or letter, etc.

Replaced part had a Carrier Corp. manufacturers warranty approved by Carrier. I am still waiting for my rebate check, (that was sent to M and M Johnson), to be sent to me, even after they told me they were going to put it in the mail to me 1 month ago. M and M Johnson has not returned phone calls, VM, texts or email to update me on the status of my check.

After having experienced other air conditioning services, I found M&M Johnson AC to be what was missing from them all. Mercell is a committed contractor who cares. He knows what he is doing and uses his skill to actually help his customer.

If you want to hire someone after they did the job then never hear from them again even though there is something wrong with the job immediately after they left, then hire them. Otherwise, keep away from these guys! I hired them to repair my A/Cs fan motor after seeing Home Advisor 4.69 rating. They came 30 minutes late (that is fine, 30 min late better than no show). They replaced the motor and then check the freon and told me the freon is low and need to refill. So they did for additional $150 for 2-3 lb of freon. The fan motor seems running again so I paid the bill and hey wrote a receipt on a small piece paper with 1-year warranty on the job and parts. But 20 min after they left my house, we heard some noise (mid frequency humming) from the motor which we never heard before. So I called them immediately, they said they will come back that afternoon to check. No show. Next day I called them again, they said they will come in the afternoon, no show. The third day I called them again, no one answer the phone and leave me with a filled voice message box. I called several times later the same thing, no answer and no way to leave message! So far, the A/C is still working but the noise persisted. We just pray that the motor will not fail in the near future. The one-year warrant looks like a joke! So beware!
Response by M&M Johnson AC, LLC: My apologies or all the frustrations but the motor was installed and it did run with no noise or humming song I did verify that the motor was not the issue it was coming from the wheel that it was unbalanced and I asked you to replace it and you did not want to replace it so I did everything on my part to fix the motor that was the issue caused it had burned out so the noise was the wheel which is a different part mounted and you didn't wan to pay any more parts so I could only do so much with the unit on my end but the motor has a 1- yr warranty on labor and part .

Quick and professional. Came out within the hour. Service tech was respectful, thorough and professional - didn't even wake my napping toddler! He didnt speak much English so translated through Mercel via phone and that worked perfectly. Excellent service. Would absolutely hire in the future. Thank you!!
