We had a very good experience with this contractor. Mike was very responsive, the work was well done, and done quickly. It was a complicated job involving replacing a pump shed that was attached to a log home, and replacing several rotted logs. He found logs of the exact dimensions and shape, and did a thorough job of replacing just what was necessary. The logs match very well, and the shed was rebuilt to our exact specifications, within our budget. These days, it is difficult to even find someone who will show up to do the work. We strongly recommend Mike Phippin.

Mr. Phippin was excellent to work with. I was not on sight but he kept in contact with person on site with his schedule. When our stored paint didn’t match the other walls he took a chip and matched the existing paint perfectly. His work inside and out is great.

Mike Phippen Construction did an excellent job for us, lifting our sagging flooring by replacing moisture-damaged beams and joists in our crawlspace. Such difficult working conditions, made more complicated by many rain interruptions, made the work extremely wet and dirty. Through all that the crew was always courteous and right back to work after each storm. They left the yard and garden clean and neat when the job was completed. Throughout the job Mike maintained good communications with us. We especially appreciate the many pictures he took to show us the before and after of the floor support because it was not an area we could evaluate. If you want quality work, this is the company to hire.

Excellent workmanship and quality product.

Mike and his crew were prompt, courteous and neat. The quality of materials and workmanship were excellent.

Replaced carpeting with hardwood floors, installed crown molding, painted kitchen, powder room and dining and living area, stairway, installed new carpeting on the 4 bedrooms on the two upper floors, replaced two tub / shower units with custom ceramic tile and glass doors and replaced toilets with comfort height and installed all new bathroom fixtures and lighting. Installed whisper quiet bathroom fans, installed modern CO & smoke detectors and installed a outside vent and new microwave. Mike and his team went above and beyond the contract job to repair or fix items that weren't in the contract but was the right thing to do. Great craftsmanship in every aspect of the work whether it was, carpentry, plumbing, flooring, spackling or painting, or tile work. Mike babysat the job with the few subcontractors he needed. I never met a more friendly or hardworking contractor. An example - on the morning he was going camping for his anniversary, he met me at my house with his team, and helped unload and bring into the house a new stove I brought from another house, in fact he offered to drive 3 hours to transport the stove. What a guy!!! The project was a remolding of our beach home when we were not around. Mike was great about updating us with pictures and called us often to discuss the project. Mike was great with offering his ideas as my wife and I discussed various aspects of the project. Mike and his team showed the upmost respect for our furniture and household belongings. He and his team insured all furniture and fixed fixtures were covered from construction dust. Mike and his team cleaned the home every step of the project and upon its completion. Mike even had his mother help clean, so the project passed the mother test for clean. I am not able to properly comment on the project cost as we did not aggressively bid the job out. But I am comfortable commenting that Mike included spackling, painting and other modifications (beyond the original contract scope) because it was the right thing to for the final look of the project.

His work was perfect. Just what I wanted. It was a treat to come home from work and see the work that Mike and his crew had completed.

Mike was always available and responsive to questions. He worked with my insurance company to agreement on the cost of the repairs. His crews were all respectful and ensured my family was comfortable with their actions...down to the type of music they played.
