He did a great job and was very thorough.

Needs to provide better transparency on charges labor & materials, actuall cost was almost double the estimate. Work needing to be perform was already identified by a heating professional who outlined the problem but was not licensed to perform the work..

We had 2 closets that had light switches that did not work We gave Mike a call and he came over and rewired the light switch and the receptacle for a very reasonable price. We will definitely recommend him and also call him back up, for some ceiling fans we want installed.. He was very courteous, professional and with 15 years under his belt , he knows his stuff. Also a very nice guy.

I hired Mike to install a ceiling flan that was sitting on my floor for 3 months. Shortly after I submitted my needs on a Saturday afternoon he returned my call and was scheduled to come out the next day. He was courteous, neat and even went the extra mile to point out that the side of the blade i thought I wanted to show, may not look so good. He was right. Once the blades came out of the plastic they were wrapped in, the coloring on them looked very different than what I imagined. I'm glad he said something before he put them up. Shortly after the job was done, he was gone and now I can start my next project.

Mr. Sargent did complete the work that i hired him to do and he demamded that we pay him in cash. He did not adjust my motion sensor as i asked him to do initally and when I asked him to correct this he asked me to pay him extra money to come out and adjust what I had paid him to do in the first place. His conduct was unprofessional (constantly on the telephone with his family) and he was late getting to our house to install our lights. He had to leave to pick up something from the store after he finally got to our house. I would not reccomend him to anyone.I had problems with two out of the three lights that he installed for us.

When the lights in our basement blew out we hired Mike resolve the problem. He discovered that the circuitry that was done when our house was renovated was faulty which caused the problem. After fixing the lights he also installed an outlet at the fuse box - another addition that should have been installed during the renovation - and he did an evaluation of a few other electrical issue we have and offer a few low cost options, some of which he suggested we could do ourselves. Mike's was professional, on time and he provided detialed explanations of his work. We will us his services again and recommend him to others.

Me Sargent was able to complete my requests for installing a new kitchen fan and installing a new receiver to fix my living room fan. He was polite, considerate and clean about the clean up.

Mike was quick to respond. We scheduled a service call and Mike was right on time. He assessed the condition of the fan and fixed it right up. Mike said that a new fan unit was not needed in this situation. Very honest, courteous, capable and prompt. Reasonable charges for the work. Great job.

I was very impressed with his knowledge and ability. He determined the cause of our problem and wrote us a detailed (and easy to understans estimate). He then performed the work quickly, efficiently and neatly. I would hire him for any future electrical concerns.

Mike Sargent gave me a reasonable quote on a job that when i put the initial request in on service magic, he called within 15 minutes of the call for help. He explained everything in detail and wrote out the estimate on paper. The best part was that when the job was being done he found soemthing that could have started a fire, corrected it, and came in over $100.00 UNDER estimate. Awesome work, will definitely refer to friends and family and will for sure use again.

The work he did was fine. For the most part, he was punctual and efficient with his work. What turned me off a bit was when he tried to sell me for $35 a part that Home Depot sells on its website for $3.95, to use on a fixture that cost me $9. When I told him I would run to Home Depot and get the part myself or just buy a new fixture, his price came down instantly. That left a bad impression, and given how many electricians there are in the area, I'll go somewhere else next time.

Mr. Sargent wrote the work order different than he talked to me about. I was unaware of different wording and I signed that. He also put one celing fan's control switch in place of our switch controlling an outlet where we had connected a lamp that can be turned on from switch as we enter the room. Now we don't have that available. We have to go in the dark in the room and find the switch in on the lamp to turn it on. After realizing that it is not correctly done, on 2nd day I called him to come back and fix the problem, he said can only be done for more money. He kept a switch in 2nd room and put a new switch for fan.

Sargent (owner) is a very knowledgeable professional and saw my problems even before I pointed them out. Of the five estimates I received, M. Sargent was very reasonable. He explained everything to me in terms I could understand, and made suggestions where necessary. He gave me full written estimates, arrived on time, had all necessary supplies and equipment required, and did all the work in less time than expected. He was neat and cleaned up everything before leaving. I also received a call a few days later to make sure everything was working properly. I would definitely recommend M. Sargent Electric to everyone I know, and have no problem in using ServiceMagic again for all my needs."
