Work was great with a friendly attitude. Showed up on time and completed the project in the same day.

Macon Tucker is not professional and is deceitful. He has taken our initial deposit of $3800 and has used it for his personal needs (fixing his car, paying his bills). He was supposed to use the deposit for filing the deck design and city permit. As of today, he has not even visited the City Permit Office. We have filed a Police Report.

Started by showing up 2.5 hours late. He couldn't find his contract book to draw up a contract, so he said he would email it. I still haven't received an email. Then I was going to install the first door backwards. The Laborer that he brought with him had the door shimmed, leveled, and opening and closing perfectly, then he left Macon to trim out the door and door frame for the lock striker plates so he could start the removal of the 2nd door. He didn't bring a router, so he had to use mine. Somehow, he did something to the door frame because it had to be forced closed and was hitting the door frame. After much work, it was able to get closed and locked, but was still hitting the door frame. The 2nd door was installed without too many issues. While removing the trim on door 2, mold was found, and the laborer told me that Macon said to cover it back up. Thankfully, he refused and told me about it, and thankfully, I had the materials on hand to replace and spray everything down so it didn't return. The 2nd door went in pretty quickly, but Issues were had again with routing out the striker plates for the locks. (Both doors were predrilled for knob and deadbolt.) When they left on Wednesday, the front door had both knob and deadbolt installed, but was still hitting and hard to open and close, and the side door only had the deadbolt installed. Thursday morning, Macon dropped the laborer off (on time this time), then left for 3-4 hours, leaving him to finish everything. He had to redo the routing using my wood putty and my router, but he got the front door back square and open, closing and locking without issue, then commenced to finishing the routing and installation of the doorknob, trim, and caulking. Everything looked good and was working well, that is, until Sunday morning, when walking down the inside steps and saw light shining through the bottom right of the front door. I opened the door to inspect and see a nail sticking out, holding the trim back from contacting the door. I also noticed that it has chipped the brand-new door. I then took pictures and texted them to Macon. That was at 11:12 AM Sunday, no response. I texted again at 3:37 PM, no response until 8:42 PM, to which he said he would be at my house at 4-4:30 PM on Monday. At 4:10, I called and left a voicemail. No response. I called again at 5:21 and 5:22, still no response as of typing this at 10:22 PM Monday. The only reason I'm giving a 3 overall is due to the Laborer that he brought with him.

Macon was great - the coldest day of the year had him work to install a drop down ladder in our garage attic. He was deliberate and took extra steps (ha pun not intended!) to ensure a quality job that met his high standards. I highly recommend Macon and will definitely 💯 plan to use him for future projects

Macon worked hard to get the job done. Installed an 8 ft laminate countertop on a wooden platform he built. Installed plexiglass on 2 walls. Even painted first coat on wood platform for free and fixed a drywall issue we had. This was for our cat litter room after new paint and floor. He Even bought me lunch! 😃 very nice man. He will be coming back to do more jobs for me.

Macon was a great guy to work with! Communicates, works hard, goes beyond expectations and as nice as thy come. He can help out with almost any project. I’m so happy we found him and took a chance on him!!!
