The beginning of the process was fantastic. Working on the quotes and the design was a great experience and they were very responsive and helpful. The installation was not great. The crew measured the property line incorrectly and dug fence post holes through the middle of my backyard. Luckily I caught them as they were digging the last hole and they had to dig new holes along the property line. That whole experience was a little difficult because the crew did not speak English. They never filled in the other holes so I was left with big holes through the middle of my backyard. They did not finish in one day and were supposed to come back the next day but their truck broke down so we had to wait for them to finish. The fence looked great but 2 parts of it broke within a week. We have been waiting 6 weeks for them to show up and repair the fence. They tell us they are coming but they never show and they never call. This is a 2nd home for us so we drive there and sit and wait for 12 hours without even a courtesy call from Mae. I reach out to them on a daily basis and have even been copying the CEO on the emails but we are still waiting for our repairs. Their fences are very expensive because they are supposed to be the best. Unfortunately we have not had that experience with them.

Where to start? The fence is beautiful and the hiring process was smooth. But finding multiple hazardous metal materials scattered around my yard while mowing and then running over some unknown larger rocks buried in the grass and dirt they threw about was very upsetting. I found a piece of rebar right before I hit it with the mower. There is NO need to use dirt with rocks in it when filling in gaps. These are sharp and smooth rocks more than 6 inches in diameter that are not easily discernible in certain areas. I am really disappointed about this considering the price I paid.

Quality work and done ahead of scheduled install

Rude and arrogant crews and owner. Damaged property and didnt complete project. Threatened and harassed about payment so obviously mismanaged and/or in financial trouble. Threatened a property lien before agreed upon discounted price was due. Owner was rude, incompetent, and arrogant. I see they have over a dozen complaints but still was recommended by Angi. Definitely a horrible company with no ethics.

First installers weren’t very professional but three days later a new crew arrived to fix there mistakes and they did a great job. Very impressed with how they handled our complaints. We are completely satisfied now

If you need a fence installation and hire a different company, you are wasting your money. Mae Fence is a GREAT company. Their crew was polite, professional, and hard working. The fence is of superior quality. If there are any concerns, they are there to correct it immediately. I wish that I could give them 10 stars out of 5. Thank you for a fantastic experience!

I highly recommend this company. They had done a partial fence for us several years ago, and we were very happy with it. We have now added to it, and are thrilled with the overall look and value. The people are great to work with. They work hard to do things right and have great value in the quality of the fencing they use.

My fence and gates are still not completed to my satisfaction. Mae Fence Company debited account for the remaining balance due before the work was completed. The gates are still not complete! I have been waiting almost 2 months. The gates were installed improperly. One side of the gate is higher than the other which also causes the other side to drag against the driveway. I have sent numerous emails and pictures to show what needs to be fixed. I talked to several different people from Mae Fence that said they will take care of it. But still, nothing has been done.

To start off, my experience with the sales rep was GREAT! He assured me that he can get the fence installed in my new home for the price range I was looking for. Now,they were more expensive than others, but I went with this company because I was looking for the earliest install date (4 dogs in a new home... walking them is a lot of work!). My original quote was for 6k for 200 ft. of fencing with 2 gates. As soon as I paid the down payment to lock in the installation date was when everything went downhill. I was told my price would be 1,500 more because I needed 230 ft. installed, and not 200. I also requested to have Mae handle the HOA approval and permits, and a week before installation, I found out that this did not happen. The day of installation came, and from the Welcome email I received, I was expected to be approached by the installers to walk me through what I can expect. This did not happen. 2 guys hung out in my yard for about 2 hours before work began. I ended up walking out to ask if they were here to install and if they knew the HOA rules to follow. They were unaware of the HOA rules, so thank goodness I was able to take a break from work to check on them before the work began. The installation itself only took about 3 hours and I was blown away by how quick they all worked. It started raining that night, so I did not get to walk around to really look at the quality until a few days later. Once I walked the perimeter, I was instantly disappointed. Every fence section had gashes and scratches all over them. I understand a few will happen from hauling the material, but for what I paid for, I expect higher quality material. I then emailed Mae asking for a resolution and was told that someone would be out within a few days and that never happened. A week later, I asked for an update and I was told I was being passed to someone else to handle, and have not heard from them since. So, overall communication, quality, and price? This company is highly NOT recommended.

Sub-contracted all labor who did hundreds of dollars in property damage and did not honor the initial contract terms. Find a company that installs their own products!

I would absolutely not recommend Mae Fence Company for your fence project if you are looking for quality work to be done in a timely manner with a proper response from the team. I initially had a good experience working with our salesman Matt and Michelle in the office but when it came to our fence installation it became clear that their standards are not high at all. It has been almost one month now since our fence was originally started and has yet to be finished. The parts that are finished are left with many issues such as fence posts that are not level, a gate that would not stay shut including a two-fingers-wide gap you could see clear through, a noticeably crooked panel on the side of our house, gaps in the boards which do not fit tightly together, pieces of wood with chunks missing, loose boards, and the look of the fence is not what I originally discussed with our salesman and told him we wanted and even sent photos of our desired style. To say we are disappointed would be an understatement at this point. We are frustrated with the ongoing lack of communication and that there has not been a proper effort to resolve with a schedule that works with ours. I have sent emails with explanations and photos and have been in contact with their customer service manager who assures me they will get us taken care of but that is basically it. They have sent a repair crew to our house on two occasions now when we have not been home after specifically stating that I wanted to be home to properly address the issues. I was told some of these issues are **typical** but was given no explanation as to which I should consider **typical** for this type of project. A man (or crew, I do not know because I was not home) came sometime last Saturday to **fix** some of the previously addressed issues but we are still left with an 8-foot gate that is not structurally sound, bends inward, and is missing boards, and the crooked panel on the side of our house is still crooked even though they replaced a few boards at the top and bottom. I am simply shocked that this is how business is done with their company. We still have a section of the fence we are waiting to be installed almost one month later, but we were charged in full for the installation the original day the crew came out. We disputed this charge with our bank since the job was NOT finished and we did not sign any sort of completing paperwork. Although the original crew leader did try to communicate with us while working, he nor the crewmembers spoke English which made it very difficult to discuss the project which was completely necessary because when he showed me the paperwork, the fence they were going to put up was not what our salesman and I previously discussed. They were also not fully equipped for our project even though I confirmed everything with our salesman, Matt, just a couple of days before. If I could go back in time, I would not hire Mae Fence Company for this fence project we have been saving up to do and were very excited about. Now we are just tired of waiting for it to be properly completed.

Overall, this was a good experience. The workers didn't bring enough materials on installation day. I was told by the site supervisor that he would be back the next day to complete. He did not show up. Took a few emails and phone calls to have the repair team come out two days later to finish the job. As previously stated, this was an overall good experience, but it took some unnecessary extra work on my behalf to get it completed.
