purchased a very old house and need a new roof. learn this company from mailed Valpak coupons to new NJ homeowners and decide to choose this company to do the roof replacement earlier this month. However, during the process, the company purposely lied that their proposal is the contract so that we end up with no real contract with details specified and without legal protections if the roof they did has defects in the future. Further, by utilizing the ambiguities in the proposal, on the installation day, the company price-gouged us $8,000 for 55 pieces of 3/8 category of sheathing plywood after they opened the roof which later I found in Home Depot one piece is $35.03. The company also surreptitiously changed the roof shingle brand we asked for, and purposely hid the info that the kitchen area (which was a recent addition of the house after the year 1997) of the roof does not need any sheathing plywood. Filed complaints about this company at several places and in the legal process against this company as well.

Everything was great until my chimney was taken down and the repair went from $4200 to $11200. I feel like this company quotes one price and when youâ re at there mercy rack you over the coals. I ran a contracting business for four years and never conducted business the way they did.

I have no complaint with the quality of their work. However, as usual with a house built in 1895, the job grew as they worked! A simple gutter replacement turned into a complete Porch roof replacement. Considerably more expensive. I could see the water damage myself so I didnâ  t feel they were being dishonest. The job was completed quickly and efficiently. I am satisfied.

A1 initially came to look at some gutter work but ended up doing a full roof replacement. They were fast, efficient, clean, friendly and very open about what was going on. Good value, and I’ve no hesitation recommending them.

After posting an initial poor review, the contractor has taken steps to correct their work. I cannot tell if it is truly fixed (skylight not leaking any more) until there is a substantial rain storm but I will update.

I hired A1 gutters to give me an estimate for a roof replacement and also a gutter replacement. They came to my house and went up on the roof with precise measurements ended up giving me all the different kind of choices that I could pick from. I ended up giving them the job and whatever they told me that was going to happen it ended up happening. Look, we all know contractors not showing up when promised. These guys showed up 4 hours EARLY. This of course means different things to different people. From the time I met them until the job was done less than 24 hours. Great work, quick, clean, and at a fair price. But don't be shy about negotiating on your own behalf.

I had purchased a house about two years ago. The house is located in Bogota, Northern New Jersey and it was in good condition. However, gutters were a disaster. Leaks, broken angles, the whole lot. I had contacted at least 3 contractors about replacing the gutters, downspouts and putting gutter guards. Out of all of them, A1 Gutters LLC was the most professional, the most responsive and the most competitive in price. Once I contacted them through Home Advisor, they were able to squeeze me the next day. Danny, the owner was very eager to walk me through any questions or concerns that I had. At 7:30 am, they rang the bell, as per our agreement and were on their way to do their magic. Van, generator, tools, sealant, and everything needed for the job was provided by them. Hassle free and worry free. There were two employees at my site. They were so fast that within 2 hours they were able to take out the old gutters, install the new ones and put the gutter guards. I inspected the work afterwards and everything was just flawless. I really never write reviews, this is my first one. But, I was so happy with the price and the professional work this company did that I had to write it, in hopes that it might help first time home buyers, like myself choose a great company.
