Refinishing wood floors in an inhabited house is not an easy job but they did it with as little disruption as possible. The floors are 70 yrs. old so there was only so much improvement that could be reasonably be expected. Still, the floors looked much, much better when finished. Their price was good.

The floor overall looks a lot better, but the work was sloppy. They scuffed up doors, floorboards and put a hold in a wall while during the work. The floor had spots where there were puddle like areas where the varnish wasn't smoothed out. I pointed out the areas needed to be repaired, and they did not bring a machine. The owner came back with a piece of sandpaper to smooth out the floor puddles and all it left was scratched areas.

Pro quality job and alot less than the other guy

I called on Monday to set up a small wood floor refinishing job (425 SF). The owner said the crew would be there Thursday morning at 8am, they showed up at 10am (ok, its Miami). They started the job on Thursday and realized there was a piece of wood that needed to be replaced. I told them to go ahead and replace the wood piece which would be an extra charge which was fine with me. The next day (Friday) they came back and their van broke down in my drive way. They had 5 different crew members using the driveway as their mechanic workshop from 1pm to 10:30pm. During the time the they were working on the van they also finished the job (without the wood piece). They said they would be bringing the piece the next day, Saturday. I waited all day Saturday and they never came, I also called and left messages and they did not return the calls. On Monday I called back and scheduled for Wednesday. On Wednesday they came and they did not repair the wood as they agreed upon. They just put a piece of wood over the existing wood which is now a trip hazard instead of removing the damaged wood and putting in the piece correctly. Someone else was home and did not realize their error when they were there. When I got home and called they said they would be back on Friday and again I waited all day and they did not show up or answer the phone. The parts of the wood that they refinished they did a good job on but if you hire them make sure everything is completely done to your satisfaction before paying them because you probably will not see them again.

I have been a General Contractor for over 10 years working with many different tradesman and Magic wood floors has exceeded all expectations and more. The quality is great the price was very affordable and the customer service is exceptional, I can call Carlos on his cell phone with any question.
