Mainecoast Painting & Restoration

Rodney was highly recommended and did not disappoint! Rodney and Matt were professional, quick and very responsive! I will definitely use their services again and recommend them to everyone!

The project was completed to my complete satisfaction. Paint samples were brought. When I changed my mind on a color, paint was exchanged for me. They were wonderful. I m going to have them do more painting in the spring.

Rodney and the team completed painting the entire interior of my new house today, and my husband and I are absolutely thrilled not only with the absolutely beautiful work, but with the flexibility, dedication, and responsiveness of everyone involved. The crew was detail oriented and absolutely professional throughout, all while maintaining a sense of humor that was much appreciated during the stress of our move. When we began this project, I was new to the area and not sure where to start, and I feel so fortunate to have happened upon Maine Coast Painting & Restoration through Home Advisor we are already looking forward to working with them on future projects!

very helpful and got what I was saying

We contacted Mainecoast Painting and Rodney Toothacre immediately returned our call. He came and estimated the job, recommended solutions to some of our problems (moldy walls in the basement, gaping holes in the wall from removed wood stoves), and gave us a quote within days. We scheduled the work and his crew showed up as planned. They covered all our furniture in plastic for protection and laid ground cloths everywhere. In terms of quality, we are delighted with how they patched the 2' x 2' holes in the wall so that we can't even detect where they were. Plus they carefully fixed all gouges and nail holes in the walls and ceiling so that everything was smooth and ready for painting. Then they painted it, professionally detailing around the stained wood trim on all the doors and windows. Just as they were finishing up, we were so pleased with the work that we asked them to paint yet another wall up an open stairway to the second floor. We agreed a change order and they knocked it out in short order too. Overall we are very satisfied with the quality and timeliness of the work. Plus Rodney either answers your call on the spot or returns it quickly. He clearly puts much effort into assuring good communication before, during, and even after the job.

The following describe this company: very professional, on-time, courtious, communicate very well, great value, owner provided final QA walk through and insured anything discovered was promptly taken care of. The work is terrific.

Rodney and his crew are the bestà ¢à  à  professional, precise, competent, personable.

I was pleasantly impressed with maine coasts painting and restorations communication as well as quality of work

Top notch and professional! We have an 1800's house that was in need of interior repair, ceiling and walls, as well as removal of wall paper and paint. The work done was outstanding, the crew professional and fast, and we could not be happier. Incredible attention to detail. They have reasonable rates as compared to other companies we interviewed, and discussed all aspects of restoration with us prior to doing the work. Our old home is well on its way to being restored to its former glory because of Mainecoast Painting & Restoration. Can not wait to have them come back to do more amazing work!!!!! Highly recommend

My cathedral ceilings in a large kitchen, dining, living room area (all one room) were made with raw wood pine tongue and groove boards, with beams that were painted dark green. I wanted everything clean and white. The estimate was for two coats - but it ended up taking four coats and they had to try a couple of different kinds of paint to make it cover well. They never gave up and didn't complain. They took their time and did a wonderful, beautiful job. Even though the estimate was for only two coats, I wasn't charged more than the estimate. I couldn't be happier. In the spring they are going to paint the outside of my house.

This company was a pleasure to do business with. They were extremely careful and trustworthy, stepping around the garden, cleaning up any messes daily, arriving exactly when promised, and keeping me up to date on their progress and schedule on a daily basis. Their work is beautiful and of the highest quality. They always communicated promptly, usually within minutes. They stand by the quality of their work and were willing to adjust details along the way as the project took shape. The value for the money seems very reasonable; their quote for the job fell right into the ballpark of other quotes we received, and they did the job right, using the proper materials and not cutting corners. I am very satisfied and would recommend them to anyone.

Amazing company to work with! Rodney and his crew were very professional and worked extremely fast to get us moved into our house on time. There was a bit of an issue with the drywall in our bedroom and Rodney made sure it was handled in a timely manner all while he was on vacation. I immediately trusted Rodney to do the job right and treat me fairly. The whole process was easy and I am extremely satisfied with the work that they did for us.

Rodney and his crew were extremely professional to work with, very good with followup and follow through. My project was exterior and interior and on both avenues he did excellent work.

Job was completed professionally and even though we had lousy weather which hampered the job, Rodney and the crew came out and did the job when the weather improved. Great job!

Rodney and his team restored the exterior of my 80 year-old maine coast home to a beautiful weather-tight finish. On-time, high-quality, reasonable price.

Rodney and his crew did an excellent job painting the exterior of our house. They were very thorough with their work, and the price was very reasonable. They are all very kind people and hard workers. We would recommend them for sure! We have already hired them to come back to resurface our kitchen cabinets!

Rodney and his crew knew this task was going to be a tough one but like a true professional they heard what I needed and did it with finesse, I highly recommended mainecoast painting & restoration

The. whole team was amazing. We had just had a terrible experience with another paint company and Midcoast painting were a breath of fresh air. My kitchen cabinets look wonderful.

Rodney Toothaker If you are in the market for a most excellent paint job done by a highly qualified and meticulous crew at a reasonable rate and no hidden costs, Rodney Toothaker at Midcoast Painting and Restoration is your person. He is, not only prompt, efficient and detailed, but personable and warm in that old time Maine way. My husband and I moved back to Maine this winter from Arizona, where we had been perching for the past dozen years and Rodney was the first person we invited into our home to freshen up the condo we had just bought. Rodney made sure it was a thorough welcome by listening to what we wanted and needed and not just what we said. You can tell a business owner is top notch by the way in which his workers act when heâ  s not present. Every last person was way beyond helpful and dedicated to their task. Indeed, these guys almost never took a break. Listening to Rodneyâ  s people as they work, coaching and teaching one another as they solved angle, wall smoothing and edging issues for the most professional look was charming and soul brightening, not to mention rare, especially in the corner-cutting world of today. Weâ  ve never had the opportunity to observe such a well-tuned unit. It was a delight to have them in our home and thatâ  s saying much in little, as we were weary from the move and barely a foot into the state before we decided to paint the entire interior of our new (to us) home. With zero pressure, Rodney pointed out the places that needed the most attention (walls, trim and cupboards) and offered money saving tactics such as what could wait (inside of closets and cupboards and selected ceiling areas). What more can I say? Rodney and his guys are paint brush royalty.

The owner was a great guy..very personable.
