They resolved our problem for a fraction of what another company wanted. And we got an exhaust fan installed and a shutoff valve replaced for half of what the original company wanted just to fix the pipe.

Handyman for Multiple Small Projects
The young man you sent was very polite and treated my home with respect. I am having some problems with the fan wobbling on medium and high and for no apparent reason the light goes on. This has happened three time since the installation.

My job was delegated to Ed Lewis who was such a pleasure to work with. He and his team did an outstanding job on a landscaping job that was not easy to tackle. I cannot recommend his services enough.

The only two companies that I was referred are the two above. The company that I did not choose (Triston) told me that they did not render services for the type of project that I needed completed. Therefore, Maintenance Made Simple was really the only contractor that I seriously considered. I do not have much of a basis of comparison in regards to the price that they charged me therefore I rated them "fair" on budget and value. I can't honestly rate them anything better or worse than that because I didn't have anything else to choose from. Overall, I am satisified with their work provided that the work lasts for a long time and doesn't deteriorate.

The company responded quickly to set up an appointment. The service representative arrived on time. He was friendly and helpful with suggestions. He shopped for materials and fixed the bottom of a rotted door jam within 2 hours even though he had estimated 3 hours.

I was quoted two to three hours. The job was done at 2 hours and 15 minutes. The rest of the time seemed to be unproductive billed time. The quote on the paper said three hours, I believe the workers used this as a marker; they were slow to meet the 3 hours, instead of thinking ahead of more work opportunities and trying to finish before. I had high hopes However, not as pleased with the workers.

I PLAN ON USING THESE PEOPLE BUT JUST HAD THE TEMPLATE MADE FROM CORIAN, ANOTHER TWO WEEKS BEFORE DILVERY. I WILL UPDATE THIS WHEN THE WORK HAS BEEN FINISHED.

The man doing the work was very nice. I was disappointed in the fact that he didn't finish the job because he had another appointment to go to. He left the unfinished materials sitting on our porch, for a month now, my husband finally finished the job. They put 6 screws in my stair railing, and replaced on iron porch railing, and it cost $250.00. Way too much for the little work, and my husband had to finish the job!

The initial quote that my husband received from a rep named (Derrick) was $120.00 to complete the job. Needless to say, we were charged $256.00. We were never informed, until the initial visit, with "Randy" that they also charge by the hour, including the time spent on finding the part. The initial visit was on 8-11-04, I never heard from him again until I contacted the company twice and Mr. Gee once. Apparently, he was tied up on another job but no one bothered to tell me. He finally, came out on 9-11-04 (one month after the initial visit) to do the job. He was suppose to be at my house at 9:00 a.m., he called at 9:40 a.m, and told me that he wouldn't be able to make it until around 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. (He finally showed up at 4:00 p.m., but that was only because I called his boss (Mr. Gee) again, to find out where he was. I wouldn't recommend these people to anyone. I will NEVER do business with these people again.

I ended up using Maintenance Made Simple because they did the best job as far as getting in touch with me, although I feel I paid too much for the work that was done. I was caught in a time situation due to a previously hired painter not showing up for months, so it was worth it to me to get the job done and Maintenance Made Simple did good work.
