Major League Heating and Cooling

Merrick was one of two vendors that came to check my A/C unit. Both companies identified a damper not working; however, Merrick noticed some wiring that was wrong that he fixed. I had him come back later to replace the damper; however, upon review, the home was cooling as needed and the damper wasn't needed after all. He saved me $425 by fixing some wires! Ready to rent my property...YAY!

Merrick was prompt and courteous. The turnaround time was quick. The biggest issue was the diagnosis of the problem. Our ac unit kept blowing the circuit. We called Major League to come to look at it. Merrick said the problem was our compressor. It cost us $800 for the replacement and Freon and a few hours after he left the issue continued. He was prompt on his return visit. He replaced the wiring back outside. He suggested that it was potentially an issue with the wiring in the house. He recommended having an electrician come out and look at the issue. We called an electrician who said that the connection at the box was frayed which was the issue all along. We are giving the overall rating 2-3 stars because Merrick was prompt and courteous with the request. However, He should have been more thorough. We spent $800 to fix something that was not broken.

This is an excellent company. Had been working with a big name brand that was overcharging me and misdiagnosed my AC issues. Merrick knew exactly what was wrong with my unit immediately and was able to explain the problem in a manner I could understand. Expert installation of a new unit was more meaningful after I had better understanding of what my needs were. Highly recommend Major League. I won t work with anyone else

Merrick Sims has set the bar for customer service, knowledge of his craft, and just general kindness. He was a pleasure to work with, was quick to assess the problem, and didn't hesitate when he had to drive across town to pick up the part needed to repair my a/c unit. I'm very grateful for his willingness to do what needed to get done as well as his friendly and caring demeanor throughout the whole process. I highly recommend him for all your HVAC needs.

Do not recommend because he did not do the job correctly, and minimal experience

Mr. Merrick was quick to call me back once I reached out. He was at my home the next day at the time he said he would be here. Within a few minutes he had diagnosed the problem with my AC. I was told the cost of the work and advised him he could do it today. Within less than an hour Mr. Sims was done and I had a working AC again. This was a great experience for me the price was good and the service was awesome, very professional and really knows what he is doing. He knows the area well and to make things even better he works on Saturdays. I can't say enough nice things about Mr. Sims, other than I highly recommend him for any Heating and AC problems you may have. When you see him tell him Mrs. Rose says hello.

He does great work, really knows what he is doing. He is very thorough when he is done. He gives you all the paperwork and explains everything very well that you think you could do it yourself.

Excellent service and provides excellent documentation for my clients and helps avoid any issues but also to support his recommend for part replacements. He has become my preferred HVAC Contractor for all the rental properties that I manage.

I have used Merrick's services quite a few times when I still had an aging heat pump that was on it's last leg. Being the stubborn person that I am, I wanted to keep it going for as long as it could which is exactly what Merrick did. He is very patient with meeting people where they are in terms of what they are prepared for. He is very responsive and very knowledgeable with an engineering background and knows how to break down concepts that even a kid could understand. He had warned me that one day, probably sooner than I thought, my heat pump was going to give out and he perfectly explained why. All of these attributes gave me confidence that he is a trustworthy HVAC technician who doesn't just try to upsell people. When the inevitable day came and my heat pump gave out, I reached out to Merrick. I was truly in a bind because of course it was almost summer and 80 something degrees outside! Merrick quickly responded to me and was at my house within 48 hours with the appropriate, energy efficient equipment (new compressor and air handler). He gave me the best price of anywhere I had looked. He worked all day long and even went above and beyond when he hit a roadblock with the dimensions of my attic. I haven't had a single problem ever since.
