inexpensive, but got what we paid for. Subcontracted the work out and the trim was never finished.

They were very unresponsive, and clean up was an absolute mess. Had to fire the first crew they sent, as they were not doing as the contract stated. They did not do any prep work, and had spray paint everywhere. We now have paint all over trees, bushes, leaves, screens, and some cars. They finally sent someone else out, who did a good job, but was the only person, even though they promised a four person crew. Would NOT recommend them.

He's a one man show, does work at his own pace. Acceptable job with the main body, but weak with details...... forgot to paint trim around one door, left paint on white vinyl windows, missed sections of two downspouts. And he painted in misty, cold weather which caused a four foot X two story section to blister and lift off wood.

Quick to respond for a quote and start the job but then a 2 day job repainting my deck turned into 3 weeks and it is still not done! I will not use them again but will go by personal referrals only!

They have yet to clean up the ground even though I have called them several times. Paint on the house turned out good and they did it before the weather got wet.

Marathon was a great disappointment. In retrospect I believe I was overcharged for a job that took months between starting and finishing the job. I will not recommend Marathon to any of my friends or neighbours.

After interviewing 4 different paint vendors, I selected Marathon and was impressed by their references. However, they utilized a new or untrained crew on my project. The main surfaces were prepped an painted well, but the detail on the trim work was done poorly. The windows were painted shut, and then left dirty forcing me to have to hire another worker to get them to open and recleaned. In addition, even after they came back twice to complete clean up, I had to hire additional workers to clean up the debris and paint chips left behind. They stayed in budget, but the project was not done at a fair level overall.

MARATHON GAVE ME A GREAT PRICE, AND STUCK TO IT. THEIR WORKERS WERE COOPERATIVE, AND COMPLIED WITH MY EVERY SUGGESTION. THEY DID A GREAT JOB ON A TOUGH BUDGET.

Some small issues: Did not clean up or replace exterior light bulbs in timely fashion. Damaged a gate. Excellent work for the money; I would hire them again.

Marathon Painting provided a very low quality paint job for our house. Preparation was poor, there are bubbles and flaking paint one week after job completion. Poor communication, landscape damage and garbage left around the yard were also very disappointing. I would not recommend or re-hire this company.

Project manager only stops by job site occasionally. 2 walk thrus with project manager to point out things to fix - 2nd time he wrote them down. Painters back out twice to "fix" items they saw but not given copy of our fix list from project manager. Painters started to paint bare wood front door w/o primer before we stopped them. 1 month since project start and we are still trying to get last items fixed before giving our final approval.

There were several mistakes made in the colors. I did have 3 colors in fairly complicated locations so I do understand why there were some mistakes. There were also some drips and missed spots that I had to point out. They were all fixed promptly. There were paint chips that I needed to sweep up from the prep work.

Got work done within our tight timeline. All commitments kept. Job looks great.

Working with Marathon Painting was a disaster. Once the work started, they did a HORRIBLE job....painting on our brand new windows rather than taping off, not sanding the house as per their contract, missed spots on interior walls that were so obvious I took pictures, leaving our hose on for 3 hours full blast in back yard, no clean up etc. I could not get Matt to call me back when the issues came up. He said to our friends regarding the quality of work "it's not like they live on Mercer Island or anything."

work has been scheduled for mid June. Will complete this rating when the job is complete

They did everything that I asked them to do. Very polite and cordial. Worked through the weekend to get the job done on time. Some small unexpected items came up and they handled them immediately without charging extra or haggling about it. They did a great job, very neat and fast. I'm very, very happy with their work.

Excellent contractor to work with and is very attentive to minor details and quality

This painting contractor, Mr. Cameron Leonard, was the worst I have ever hired. He did return my initial inquiries promptly and seemed nice on the phone. He was over an hour late showing up for the initial bid and never apologized nor offered an explanation of his tardiness. His bid was very reasonable but in retrospect I got what I paid for. After signing a contract to paint a deck it took him over three weeks to start the job, and every time I called (about 5 times total) he always claimed he would start in just a day or two. He finally started when I threatened to void the contract. The worker who did the job was fine, and the quality was OK, but Mr. Leonard never once came to the job site to make sure it was going well, nor did he make any follow-up after the job was completed, in spite of his reassurance to me that he would personally be out on the job site at least once during the job. My only communication from him after the job was done was a phone message from him asking for payment. DO NOT HIRE MARATHON PAINTING.
