I hired Mark over other contractors as he was licensed bonded and insured. From the quote, Mark said he was sure the project would be no problem. He stated the first thing is getting a permit. After 1 week and not being able to obtain the permit, he said it was best to move forward without it. Mark promised a dumpster would be delivered on a Friday and he could get his crew on Saturday. The dumpster never came and they finally got started the following Monday. His crew failed to tarp off the area they were working in. I have chunks of drywall plaster and wood in my vents as well as a thick layer of dust all over my house. After 2 days of demolition, it was time to start cleaning up. Someone came out to rework some electrical wiring. Currently, I have 3 outlets that now do not have power. After he left no one started the cleanup. The next day in the afternoon someone came to start cleaning up. The majority inside was cleaned out that day. It took 2 more days to get everything outside cleaned up. In the meantime, drywall was installed. Mark was then going to tape/mud/sand. Each day Mark was going to be there by 7 am. Each day he came by 10:30 putting the project behind. I was clear when we started I needed this done by 12/30. Mark completed the project by 1/7. As well Mark reached out to me one day to inform me that some of the guys he hired had an unsavory background and were former gang members. I would have preferred knowing that ahead of time but Mark was attempting to make sure no one had tried to speak ill of him or anything else. Probably wasn?t the best idea to hire people you do not actually know. Towards the end, Mark attempted to decrease what I would owe him if I hired a woman he knows to paint. I declined the offer. The next day he attempted to upcharge me for trim that we had discussed from the time the quote was initiated. I then found the trim on my porch underneath insulation and some trash. The trim was supposedly taken off and out on day one to be sanded and brought back. That did not happen. Additionally, while Mark framed out a wall that used to be a doorway, and out a metal joist in place, he failed to put the backing he had me pay for. I have since hired someone else to complete everything Mark did not.

We hired Mark to repair drywall in a few places in our home. He installed drywall on a family room wall, repaired some ceiling issues and master bathroom walls that were a mess from wallpaper. His skill level is very good. Our bathroom walls look a thousand times better and the drywall areas are perfect. His prices were very fair and reasonable. Mark is a personable guy but needs to work on his timeliness. He takes on multiple jobs and has difficulty meeting the original timeline. (Our 4 day project took 11 days.) He can also be a bit messy. It can be difficult to find good pros, especially for smaller jobs. We were pleased with his work and pricing but the timeline was a challenge.

He disrespected my home by not cleaning up the paint that you got on my woodwork, windows, windowsills and floor. My ceilings need to be painted now that I have paint on them. My walls and doors will have to be sanded and repainted. That will cost me more money. He was late multiple times and not prepared to work. He did not tape the walls off or use a drop cloth on one of my floors. I would not recommend him for another project.
