"I am sorry but nothing here resembles the truth. When the client called, I stated clearly that work of this type is on a time and material basis. I specifically asked which rooms would be worked on, because the State of Connecticut code requires that certain rooms be installed with arc fault devices and breakers. Nothing here is an "UPGRADE", it is state code. When we arrived at the house, her daughter and husband were present and the daughter remained during out entire service stay. All work was to be on the first floor, but the client requested 2 switches be replaced on the second, which we did not even bill for. Inadvertently, we missed an outlet in a non used guest bedroom. The client called on Saturday of the Labor Day weekend, and even though it was not an emergency and could have waited until Tuesday after the holiday, we dispatched a technician and completed the room and charged ONLY for the part, NO labor charge for any inconvenience. As far as parts, for 9 devices and breakers for the electrical panel, parts came to approximately $50 per device. I do not know where the client got a number of "by double" but it definitely not even close to that. Most likely looking at incorrect parts online or omitting the breakers. The client never stated anything as far as "inexpensive as possible" and received quality, safe and up to code work. We wished her well with her next electrician as she stated she would no longer use our company. Somehow I don't think the new one will be her last either!"
