I wish I could attach pictures to attach to this poor rating. Here is a glimpse: language barrier, no-show day of work, poor workmanship, holes in the grout (still finding and fixing to this day), tile seams from LR to FL room do not match, tile cut short requiring large amounts of grout lines in several rooms, grout going up the walls in the FL room - required HOURS of trying to clean it and paint a room that was not going to be pained; requested tile be placed at 90 degree angle. Mario measured and advised how much tile to purchase, plus 10%. 1st day of job - I am told they may not have enough tile to do it that way. (I ended up returning 10 boxes of tile, after keeping 3 boxes?!!); Quote did not include trim moulding - then asked for $600 more. I said no. During removal of carpet, original trim destroyed. Mario ended up comping this. Contract was for Monday-Monday completion. Completion occurred following Tuesday. (Grout needed fixing and he ran out of trim) ADDITIONAL concerns: workers helped themselves to the beer in our refrigerators, left empty beer cans and water bottles around the house, left cup of tobacco spit on kitchen cabient, blasted music, trash all over the front yard, dust and dirty and tile pieces at back door (we had to clean); used our dust pans and left a mess; used our paint trim container; killed grass when washing their things off, flooring adhesive up the wall in FL room on light plug covers; flooring adhesive or grout (not sure which) - on patio chair and up the outside wall at the back door; left the house front door and windows open when they had leave, took screens out of windows - not sure why and did not put back in windows? Did not re-hang doors in bedrooms, missed grout in BR because they did not close the door, He took a second job working on flooring at a restaurant - perhaps the reason for the delay and shotty work? And finally, requested FULL payment before work started. I agreed to a down payment, a 2nd payment on day #2, and then upon completion. Marno Home Renovation, LLC is a start up company - Mario was responsive to the request for a quote, but after that - not at all. The phone number is not set up for messages, he does not respond to text messages in a timely manner, he became condescending by calling me Honey when I asked if he was going to show up to work (they were a no-show on Wedensday). I have tried to be objective with this review and state the facts. PIctures available upon request.

Great people to work with. Easy going but very hard workers. They do what they promised, and on time. I'd hire them again in a minute.

The best, forget the rest

This company should not have a license to work! They did a horrible job on my house. The grout was not the color that we agreed upon and the owner (Mario) blamed the product and did not do anything about it. Then the installation of the grout was so sloppy there were grout stains on the tiles and all over the walls. They said it would come off when I mopped it. It did not come off! The owner blamed the contractors and never took the responsibility for the project as it was his project. He never supervised them and since we worked and could not walk to see the work until it was dried, it was a mess. The contractors basically walked out and said that Mario would fix anything left. Mario kept trying to get them to come back and fix the work and they refused to work with Mario. Then when Mario and another team were doing the baseboards Mario had the audacity to ask us for more money which was never discussed prior to starting the work. The baseboard work was even worse than the tile job! I would never recommend this Company! We ended up firing Mario when he tried to ask for more money for the baseboard work and told him he could do it for the money we already gave him or get out. He tried to take responsibility at that point but it was too late for us we did not trust him anymore. Again do not believe the 5-star reviews as we did. For a large project, this was a terrible experience and we have to fix the tile that this company ruined!
