Martin Enterprise

Found this company. The owner came out after a few weeks and gave me an estimate and said he required half down. I needed work done for insurance so I reluctantly agreed. The next day, he called me and told me that the payment never went through and asked me to resubmit my card information. I stupidly agreed, giving him the benefit of the doubt. Week after week subsequently passed with excuse after excuse as to why he could not make it out. Then, suddenly, all communication on his part stopped. I continued calling and texting BOTH of his contact numbers for weeks without anything in return. I was forced to hire a different person to complete the work, but my insurance is canceled because it was not finished in time. Now I have to fight with my mortgage company and the insurance company because of this man complete neglect. Oh, and also, both charges went through on my credit card. I am in the middle of a dispute with them for almost $2000. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY WORK YOU NEED DONE! THE OWNER IS COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT, HAS ZERO INTEGRITY AND IS AN OUTRIGHT !! I hope that I can prevent at least one trustworthy person out there from hiring this con artist.

I hired him at the end of October and was told he would begin early next month. I did not hear from him for weeks although he cashed my check. I finally had to threaten to cancel the job to get him to show up in December. It seems like he did a good job replacing my roof, but his subsequent actions give me some doubt. He was also contracted to remove an old side porch. He removed the roof early, but left the floor. I was promised he would return before Christmas and remove it. It is now February and he has yet to return and finish. I was waiting to review him to let him be a man of his word, but to no success. It seems he even knew he needed prodding to return as he asked if I wanted to withhold some of his payment until he was finished. Silly me, I believed a professional would act professionally. I do not know why he could not follow through on such simple matters that would have made everything better. He seems like a nice fellow, but, as he has shown, he is all about the money. To be honest, I do not think he deserves three stars, but I could not give him two and a half stars.

Did a good job and cleaned up after themselves very well. Extremely easy to work with. I would recommend them without any giving it a second thought.

Well I hired Martin from California,He was easy to communicate with, always explaining things in full detail. I received 3 estimates, Martin was the only contractor who told me what type of shingles were on my roof,and the reason I was having problems. Note I hired him on Friday and the next Monday he was at the house ,completed the job,note didn't leave any trash behind. I highly recommend anyone in need of a professional and very!!! Outstanding workmanship. My new deck looks amazing. Mr. Martin was very open to suggestions and to offer professional options regarding the build. He and his crew did an outstanding job. Job site was regularly cleaned and debris removed. Highly recommend.

I was not able to be there when the roofing work was done, but Mr. Martin sent pictures as the project progressed. This company goes above and beyond to do excellent work and satisfy the customer. I highly recommend this Martin Enterprise.

Mr. Martin came to the house as promised to give me a quote (October/November 2017) and then started the project shortly thereafter. He kept me updated with any changes from the original contract and members of the crew were courteous and polite. All was good until two months after the roof was finished and it developed its first leak. It took multiple phone calls/texts to make contact with him again. Pictures of the leak in my kitchen window and the buckets balanced on my hot water heater to catch the water were sent (this was not a little leak). When he did contact me, he was apologetic and pleasant and assured me that everything would be taken care of immediately. After 4 months and 2 failed attempts to repair the leak, a temporary cover was placed on the roof and the leak stopped. Then, shingles started falling off the roof at least 2 different times. After I called/texted and sent photos multiple times, he would come over and put the shingles back up, apologize for the delay and promise to finish repairing the leak permanently. With each issue that I have had with the roof, it has taken multiple attempts through both texts and phone calls to get a response. One day while cleaning out my gutters, I noticed areas where new shingles were layered on top of old shingles (not what I paid $15,000 for). The last time we spoke, on October 10, 2018, he stated that he had talked to his supplier and there had been issues with those particular shingles and steep slopes. He also stated that they were under warranty and would be replaced by the manufacturer. Mr. Martin said it would take about two weeks for the new shingles to arrive and that once he received them, he would then return to permanently repair the tarped area, remove the double shingles and completely replace the shingles on the sharply sloped part of the roof. I have not heard from him since despite requesting an update x 3. So now, over one year from the start of the project, the repairs have yet to be completed, he has again not returned multiple attempts to contact him via phone or text, and the tarp remains in place.

They did a really nice job and kept the work area very clean. I couldn't even tell they had been there at the end of day. They are prompt and courteous and I will definitely recommend them to others and would use them again. They guarantee their work and their pricing is very fair.

Billy Martin is the absolute best! Don't look any further for a contractor. We love our new deck and next year he will be putting a roof over half of it. I will never hire anyone else to do projects for us. He is not like any other contractor I have ever met, and you will see that when you first speak to him. Billy is very personable, professional, reliable, trustworthy, and punctual. He is extremely knowledgeable, he has excellent craftsmanship, and (last but not least) very reasonable pricing. Billy did an excellent job on re-roofing both the house and the detached garage. His advice on the materials he would use and the timing of the work was spot-on!

Would always keep us informed if anything out of the ordinary would come up. Was very efficient , would clean up at the end of every days work, and would explain any changes that had to be made to make things better. Billy also had the best bid and stayed with his bid even though he did some extra things for us. The professional is easy going, and nice/pleasure to work with. I had insurance work being done, and the professional completed the work right on the deadline. The professional dealt with the insurance company for me, I didn't know how to go on about that situations; the extra help mas very appreciated.
