Matt and his crew did a great job installing a custom landing, front steps and planter for our project. He kept me informed on job progress and schedule. Matt has many years experience in the business and was helpful refining our plans. Very pleasant to work with.

Great contractor!

I had removal of tar and new cement driveway made. I had one large concrete step repaired that had a one inch crack on top on back door. Removal of cement and new front steps custom made. Pocket holes were repaired in my retaining wall. The city has been working on the road, milling & placing new asphalt and making new sidewalks. Due to the city working on that I coordinated my calls to Matt and the city representative to get the work done. Matt was very cooperative. The workers were very nice.

Late fall of 2019 I contacted Masonry Plus of Minnesota to bid on pouring a new cement floor for my detached garage and replace the terrace stairs down to the sidewalk leading to my house. The project was difficult because the garage needed to be lifted to put the floating slab under it. The garage is very heavy because it is stucco with a red tile roof and a brick chimney. The alley is above grade leading to water infiltrating the garage from rain and snow melt. Matt came out at the appointed time and reviewed the project with me. A few days later he sent me a proposal that I accepted and scheduled the project to begin as soon as the frost left the ground in the spring. Before the frost had left the ground, Matt contacted me and began the process of getting the necessary permits from St. Paul. We needed 2 weeks notice to clean out the garage. On the date Matt agreed to begin the job, he and his crew were there 20 minutes early and began promptly at 7 am to deconstruct the old floor. Interior scaffolding was set up internally and the garage was lifted by the end of the day. Matts crew was top notch. They were respectful, hardworking and clearly knew their jobs. The job took 3 separate cement pours with 3 city inspections; the timing was precise. The entire project took a week. I am very satisfied with the high quality job Matt and his crew provided me. The cement work is beautiful, and the drainage issue was solved with Mattâ s suggestion that we put a curb along the alley side of the garage. Also, the new stairs and garage apron are vastly superior in channeling water run off into from the alley into my yard. I would highly recommend Masonry Plus of Minnesota and itâ s owner Matt Tienter for your concrete projects. An added bonus was that I was charged a very reasonable rate for this high quality work.
