Masonry works

On time, great customer service and acctually found and fixed an additional issue for just the cost of material.

Masonry Works had to start a couple of days later than expected due to weather, but they worked hard to complete the project in a timely fashion. We shared concerns about two aspects in the building and they quickly set about to correct the items that concerned us.

They made a good start on time. Had to stop through no fault of their own. Being handled through the Association before we can proceed.

Terrible experience. The owner is a good salesman, but he doesn't actually do the work. The people that did the work seemed fairly inexperienced. Their quality was poor, cleanup was poor, and attention to detail was poor. Part of the job was to caulk about 30 linear feet. They ran out of caulk with about 2 feet to go and just used a different color to finish. Said they would come back to replace it with the correct color and never did. Also, didn't complete everything in the contract. They were to remove a broken brick and replace. They ended up breaking two bricks next it and didn't replace. So, now 2 broken bricks instead of one.

Quality work. Good clean-up. All items on bid were done to specification but a verbal promise was left undone.

They showed up on time and also worked all day on a Saturday to get the job done. I would recommend them to friends and family.

On time, knowledgable, thorough, consciensious, courteous, and apparently god work. I can't tell because I haven't had a chance to have anyone examine it. Your star rating doesn't work! I'd give them a 5 star rating!

I was most pleased with the professionalism of Tim and his workers. After our request was placed I contacted Tim and he stopped by the next day to give us an estimate. Tim answered all our questions. We were most impressed with his work on his web site. We then contracted with him to make repairs to our concrete foundation to our house, as well as removing a hazard spot from in front of the step into the driveway. His work crew arrived when scheduled and kept us informed of the progress of the job. Tim personally inspected the job when complete. Masonry Works installed a chimney cap as part of the tuckpointing job they did for us. When squirrels chewed through the cap's mesh and we called them, they told us they had never heard of that happening and didn't offer to fix it until i did some research by calling the cap maker, Hy-C Chimney Covers. Hy-C informed me that Masonry Works had used the cheaper aluminum mesh cap that can be easily chewed through instead of using the guaranteed stainless steel mesh and paying extra. Asked to replace the aluminum with steel, Masonry Works put us off for weeks, never ordered the steel as they said they would and never fixed our cap.

The work was done well. The advise he gave to prevent further damage was sound. He was friendly. His guys were clean. And they cleaned up after themselves when they left.
