Asked for a refund, the contractor agreed to a refund. Never received the money. Asked several times and the contractor never responded. Sent me a bogus invoice that did not explain or go into detail about any of the work that was done. Took my money and ran. Have agreement of refund in text messages.

Dave is a true professional. He addressed all of my concerns, and presented several options to meet my needs and budget. He and his crew arrived on time and did not leave until they made sure the job was done right. I ve worked with several contractors in the past and this is the first time I can recall receiving a follow up the next day to make sure everything was working as it should. Will definitely hire Massella Construction again.

Excellent Work. Explained in detail what would be done and did a superb job. Garage doors have never opened so effortlessly. I was very pleased and I plan on using his Company for further jobs.

Dave is a nice guy. He installed a new garage door for me. He ordered the wrong door that cost more and after he installed it he asked for more money. Nice guy, so I tried to help him out. I asked about replacing 2 bathroom windows and got a price. His man measured wrong so the windows ended up having to be ordered but the old ones were removed already, so I had plywood up for a few weeks. Could not reuse the old trim either!!!! 2 months later the old garage doors were still piled up on my driveway, the windows were not finished and debris from that on my driveway as well. He did come back to try to make everything right and I could tell he felt badly. The guys trying to make a living I know. He again asked for more money. Finally, he came to get the debris and his tools but left without taking everything. Have not heard from him for a week even though he said he would come back. Communication was very weak. He would tell me he was coming but did not show up until hours later or did not show up at all. I know he is trying to make a go of it, but if you use him, be sure to get everything ironed out beforehand. Had to get someone else to finish up the trim work on the windows. I think this is the last time I will use HomeAdvisor

I am writing this review about Massella Construction. David is a big SCAM. He is not professional and a big LIAR!!! He came to my house last week in December in response to my search for professional repair of my garage door. He gave me a quote of 400 dollars for a repair which normally costs 250-300. He also said I should give him a downpayment of any amount towards it so we can seal the deal and he can commence work. Since he was the first person to see the project and that I need other estimates from others, I was hesitant. He convinces me to pay any amount. He even followed me to the bank and I withdrew 50 dollars. A day after HomeAdvisor staff called and they were checking on the status of my job and they willingly offer to send a different professional to my house so I can compare prices. To my surprise, the other professional charged me way less than 280 for the same amount of job that David had claimed he has to move this or move that and had quote 400. I then called him to inform him I am not comfortable working with him again and that he should return the deposit of the fifty dollars. He promised to drop off the cheque of 50 dollars and was furious that why would HomeAdvisor be sending another person to me when he had already finalized the deal with me. He promised that within a week or two he would return my money because he is so busy. He did not return the money. Then on Feb 12th I reached out again to him and he said he is so sorry I should give him a week, I should not threaten him, he is very reliable. It is only 50 dollars, do not go crazy on me, he said. After 9 days, I reached out again. He said do you have a certain app for making payments? I said no. I then downloaded the app he mentioned. I reached out to him and he then said this app may charge him 1 dollar 50 cents, he is going to pay me 49. I said no I want my full 50 dollars. He now promised to send me the cheque on Sunday, Feb 24th. Then on Monday, I was finally fed up. After waiting for three months, I need my money. I am writing this review because I have been scammed by David Massella. I told him to send the cheque and he told me to drive to meet him in North Haven. I am really surprised at how someone can keep on making promises and do not fulfill the words. Stay away from Masella Construction and I will be sending my lawyer to pick this up.

Worked quickly and maintained ongoing communication around planning

I hired them to flash my decks and repair my ceiling in my kitchen where water came in. The Sheetrock job came out terrible however he did come back to try to fix it. Anyways, after the work was done water came in my ceiling again when it rained and broke through the spot it did originally so I paid him and still had the same problem. I ended it there. I didn’t want to bring them back again I had to hire someone else.
