Rick did an awesome job not once but TWICE on our community fence! He installed an awesome fence with large posts and perfectly hung ropes between each post. After our fence was hit by a drunk driver, he put a quote together quickly and quickly got it fixed to where it looked like new! Highly recommend him!

Massey construction was top notch. Everything was completed on time. He did what he promised. He did not leave a mess. He was clean and efficient and the work was superior. I am telling all my friends and will definitely use them again in the future.

By far the worst experience I?ve had with a contractor. I hired Rick in September for a basement job with a completion date of December. In April (note 7 months after the contract was signed), we were fed up and hired an attorney to correspond with Rick and Cherokee Basements. Despite our many efforts to work with Rick, he has continuously lied to ?buy time?. For instance, on several occasions he promised us that workers would be at our house yet they never showed up. Furthermore, since he is rarely on site, he is usually unaware of what his staff is or is not accomplishing. In some cases, work was completed incorrectly or inadequately. When we called him to discuss issues related to the basement, he often gave us inaccurate information or avoided our phone calls. Needless to say, all of the work was not completed and I hired someone else to finish the job. <br />

It went very badly. First, Rick Massey is very unprofessional. He didn't return phone calls. He didn't inspect the work that his contractors and workers did. If I asked him any questions he accused me of micro-managing. He and his workers never showed up on time and if we had to leave the house he accused me of not giving him access to the property. The quality of the work was poor. In the kitchen, the recessed lights were not properly installed and are still not correct. The worker doing the pumbing in the bathroom set fire to the studs with his blowtorch (picture attached). The tile work is uneven (picture attached). The pergola in the backyard did not pass inspection and Massey demanded payment and abandoned the job before final inspection. Construction garbage was left in my garbage can although I payed him a dumpster fee (picture attached). Left over tile grout was dumped in front of the house (picture attached).

Ryan Massek is a great project manager. The crew he sent over really knew their stuff and made a fantastic finished basement for us. The entire process went smoothly and when they were finished they cleaned up really well. I am uncomfortable putting down a price but I can state they came in right around the middle of three estimates I had. I definitely recommend them and will use them again in the future if and whenever necessary.
