The handyman finished the project without any complication. To me it was a simple re-installing a fake shutter. I didn't realize what I thought was simple was not at all. The amount he charged was fair and reasonable. Jose was professional and very knowledgeable about a lot of things. Very friendly likable. I would recommend him and his company Master Finishers Service.

Master Finisher Services did a great job hanging shutters on my house. The POC, Jose, spoke pretty good English but there were a couple minor misinterpretations. After I suggested we use email, things improved. The work was done the same day and looks great. I highly recommend them for handyman jobs in the Stafford, VA area.

Paint color was matched incorrectly. Hardware was installed incorrectly. After one week, still waiting to hear back from the owner!

Jose did a great job

These guys did a great job on a home renovation - a wide range of work, from electrical and plumbing, to roofing, door repair, rotted wood trim, etc. They were prompt, got the job done in a timely fashion, and all the members of their crew were professional and polite.

While the workers were cordial and hard-working, the quality of work was not as expected. Pros: 1) Nice personalities and easy to talk too. 2) Utilized a contract to identify and itemize work needed. 3) Finished 2 days in advance of deadline. 4) Worked to trouble shoot specific issues requiring correction. 5) Open to correct deficient issues. Cons: 1) Most disappointing was the paint job ($3500 for labor alone). Issues: furniture and floors inadequately covered with protection (used sprayer for ceiling - which landed on anything not covered), paint on all carpeting (fortunately, we were replacing the carpet), paint runs throughout the house, painted over wall plates and sockets (not easy to replace). Clean up was significant on our end. 2) Didn't agree to or appreciate wood cut in a fully furnished living room (saw dust and wood chips throughout the area. The excuse was 'It's raining outside'), 3) repeatedly communicated home owners should be present when purchasing supplies (this becomes extremely important when owner can received discounts for supplies). Would receive receipts without knowledge of supplies needed. Note - The contractor (Jose Flores) hired others to perform most of the work (to include painting). While the workers seemed have performed similar tasks, it's possible the quality of the work may have been better if Jose was around to manage the job. I do understand contractors need to eat, and therefore may have multiple jobs at once. Without making excuses, it perhaps this job was more complex than expected. FYI - the paint job influenced the review.

Hired Master Finisher Services to add washer dryer hookups in the basement. Jose gave me a quote and started right away. Even though the project became more involved than anticipated, Jose finished the job in a timely manner and for the price that was quoted. I would definitely hire Master Finisher Services again.
