I hired MasterLift to raise a front porch slab that had sunk and cracked on 10/06/2017. The slab has sunk again and cracked in the same spot. I have been trying to reach them for the last 4 days since the work is still under warranty. The first time (08/06) I got a person who said they were having computer problems and would call back. The next two times (8/8, 8/9) I left messages, no return calls. 08/29/2018 - update - Master Lift came out today and did the injection again. They called the day before with the time they were going to come out and were very punctual. The work is much better this time especially with the epoxy they used to seal the crack. The first time the color was much darker than the concrete and looked more like mortar, I thought I was going to have to paint the entire porch to cover it up. Master Lift used a chisel to remove the old stuff and resealed with a much better match.

They did an excellent job of filling a void under out house with foam to lift the foundation. I was very displeased, however, about the shape in which they left my house. It is an involved process, so they had moved furniture, ripped up carpets, dripped holes in the sub-floor, and spent two days pumping foam. The initial rooms they reassembled were done well. On the last day, they simply threw down the carpet in my study, not even aligning it with the walls, and moved the furniture back in in a random arrangement. They left furniture piled atop other pieces in my living room. They left an air conditioning vent out because the carpet was so misaligned they couldn't replace it. The workers were left unsupervised a great deal of the time, and none of them spoke English. It was difficult to ask questions or explain what needed to be done. I think the quality of the foundation work was excellent, so I would recommend this company, but I would advise someone who hires them to plan to supervise carefully.
Response from MasterLift Foundation Repair
"Perri, First of all, I would like to apologize for any misunderstanding that has taken place. Indeed, interior structural repair work is a process and extra challenging when an excess of furniture and other things are involved. I want to first address the carpet. We didn't "RIP" up carpets, we disengaged the carpet from the tack strip and rolled it back to allow access for our crew to perform the foam injections. Keep in mind we do this as a courtesy only and we simply relay the carpet back into place upon completion. Our crew members are certified structural repair specialists, not carpet layers or furniture movers. When we move furnishings, we do that as a courtesy and it is the sole responsibility of the homeowner to be available if they would like things moved into specific areas upon completion. In some cases we have homeowners who take advantage of this and attempt to have us re-arrange their entire home free of charge. We will leave these tasks to moving companies and carpet layers that can re-stretch your carpet into place for you. Our project manager was on site every time I personally stopped by to check on the project, 3 times in 2 days. From my recollection, you were at work or away for a large portion of the time during the repair process. Our men are bilingual and do speak English, but they are instructed not to engage with the homeowners, as that is the project manager's responsibility to avoid confusion or delays. Let's add in the positive to this project that you've left out. The first offer of good will on our part was to ensure your air ducts beneath the slab were located to prevent damage or a blockage that would restrict or possibly even ruin your air ducts. This is a $250 expense that we absorbed and some companies do not do this at all, leaving homeowners helpless with a very expensive repair bill towards their AC system, sometimes in excess of $10,000. The second act of good will was when the carpets were rolled back we discovered a massive crack in the slab. I instructed our project manager to go ahead and stitch that crack using re-bar and high strength anchoring epoxy. Again, this is typically an up charge and usually we charge $50-$100 per stitch. If memory serves me correctly, there were approximately 15 stitches installed. Now I could have been as much as a stickler towards you as you appear to have been towards us, but I chose not to do that considering the extent of the repairs and I felt it was fair to allow you a little relief. At the end of the day we do appreciate your business and wish you had a full grasp of the magnitude of what we've done for you and the amount of money we saved you over replacement of your slab. That could have easily cost $40-$50,000 and we did it for less than $10,000. Your stairwell is now back in a stable condition and no longer leaning inward and we are satisfied with the results of our work."

I hired Master Lift Foundation Repair of Tulsa, Oklahoma in early May 2017 to install a 13' x 13' patio in by backyard. After putting me off several times they started the job on July 5 and finished on July 6. The patio surface is so rough that no one can walk on it in bare feet. This is important since the patio is next to our swimming pool. The patio also has a low spot where water collects up to 3/4" deep and doesn't drain. I contacted them on July 10 and they sent over a foreman, Omar, who looked at the patio and stated it had to be busted out and repoured. The office set a date about 2 weeks later to redo the work. From July 20 until now they have kept delaying the start date. Still no show from them as September 6, 2017.
Response from MasterLift Foundation Repair
"(consumer name withheld per their request) we have been rained out on 2 occasions and you went out of town on the 3rd occasion so yes we have had some weather events that have set your project back. The finish on your patio is a broom finish and is a standard finish for a patio. This isn't like walking on a gravel road with no shoes on, this is a very light broom finish. I've agreed to replace this section for you in good faith, to ensure you are 100% satisfied and I apologize for the delays due to the rain we've had. Your statement that our foreman said it needs to be replaced is inaccurate. I personally offered that to you on a separate occasion. In my opinion the broom finish is fine and acceptable. As a reminder we will not pour concrete on a day when it rains or the afternoon before it storms in the evening. I would be happy to pull the rainfall records and compare those to the dates to the dates we had setup to return and you may find your 0.5 rating is a bit unfair. This isn't Master Lift ignoring you or not agreeing with you so we would appreciate a more accurate account of the situation at hand. We do have a tentative date set for you and you also have my direct cell number should you have any problems in the future. Thank you"

They did a great job and worked with me on the timing and where very reasonably priced. A lot of work had to be done; along with piering I had the slab leveled using foam injection. It worked out nicely. More expensive than mudjacking, but worth it. I did find one issue but it was quickly rectified and everything is good now. Nothing to cause any worry about hiring them again. I'd do it in a flash.

The crew was very thorough and made sure the project was done correctly. I appreciated the measures to keep the worksite clean and the clean up after the work was completed. The job was completed quickly and seems to be done well (project completed less than 24 hours ago). The company guaranteed their work. I am very satisfied.

On the day of the inspection we met with Keith, the lead engineer at Master Lift and he was actually 20 minutes early! He walked around the perimeter with us and explained in detail what it would take to correct our drainage issues. He drew everything up for us and we hired them immediately. They installed the drainage system exactly as recommended and we no longer have standing water or drainage issues at all. Thanks guys for a job well done! Clean, Friendly and Professional. We would recommend Master Lift to any of our friends or family.

He did not do what he professed he could do. The house is as uneven as it was before he started. I can't say he lied, but sure didn't tell the truth about what they would do for me.
Response from MasterLift Foundation Repair
"Mrs. H I am sorry you feel this way about our company. We did everything we could do for you considering the condition of your home and the age of it. We did clearly explain to you that an attempt to lift the home would be made but that if we felt it was going to cause more damage then we would simply stabilize that particular section of the house to help prevent further movement. You did state that what we couldn't fix you would have you carpenter fix considering you were doing additional cosmetic work. As you stated, we did not lie to you and had you given us another opportunity to meet you we would have walked you through it."

In June, I hired Masterlift foundation to repair the sinking driveway and a slab on the side of my house. When they repaired the slab on the side of my house, they removed the tie wall and placed piers under it but did not backfill with dirt which caused the slab to sink and break in half. When repairing the sinking driveway, the company cracked the driveway slab down the middle. In addition, the company grouted my expansion joints and it is common knowledge in the concrete business that this is an unacceptable practice and causes further problems.
Response from MasterLift Foundation Repair
"I want you to know that I don't appreciate you leaving reviews that don't state the facts and entire truth. I came back and made the repairs per your specific requests even after I advised you that your specific requests were incorrect. My mistake was doing as you wish! This is a case where I should have just said no and walked away and now that I've completely refunded your money you still continue to slander my name. I advise you to stop as I have taken pictures of the driveway you claim is cracked down the middle and is not. I will exercise my right of recourse and pursue legal action for slander if you continue making false claims."
